Several weeks later, I received news that all our pastors and Bible school students had fled in a van to the dock, got in a boat and fled Vietnam.I was heart broken. I felt like I had helped birth a baby church, then left that baby on a doorstep to fend for herself.Soon after, I had a heart attack; the strain and grief was too much. :

More than 20 years later I received a letter from Tran Dinh Ai. He had been the only one who had remained in VietNam, and by 2000 had planted 175 congregations embracing more than 15,000 people.God used the now Dr. Ai as one seed to plant a plenteous harvest. :
