Salary structure of commissioned officers in the Nigerian Army General — ₦1.5 million monthly An Army General in the Nigerian Army earns a salary of ₦1.5 million NGN every month multiplying this 12 he therefore earns an annual salary of ₦18000000. This however excludes bonuses or allowances the General might receive from time to time. Lieutenant General — ₦1 million monthly The Lieutenant General comes in second in command after the General in the Army. This is equivalent to ₦11400000 ₦11.4 million annually excluding bonuses and certain allowances. Brigadier General — ₦750000 monthly Coming just below the Major general is the Brigadier General. Once an officer attains to brigadier general he is entitled to a monthly salary of ₦750000. This is equivalent to a sum of ₦9000000 ₦9 million annually excluding all allowances. Colonel — ₦550000 monthly An Army Colonel comes directly below the brigadier General and is entitled to a monthly salary/wage ₦550000 monthly. This is equivalent to a sum of ₦6600000 ₦6.6 million excluding all allowances. Lieutenant Colonel — ₦350000 month As a Lieutenant Colonel in Nigeria you are entitled to a monthly salary/wage of ₦350000. this ads up to ₦4200000 ₦4.2 million annually excluding all allowances. Major — ₦300000 month

Captain — ₦220000 month As a Captain in the Nigerian Army he is entitled to a monthly basic salary of ₦220000 adding up to ₦2600000 ₦2.6 million at the end of the year excluding all bonuses and allowances. First Lieutenant — ₦180000 month Being a first lieutenant in the Nigerian Army an officer who attains this rank gets a monthly salary of ₦180000 converting to ₦2160000 at the end of every year. excluding all bonuses and allowances. Second Lieutenant — ₦120000 month The second lieutenant is the lowest rank among the commissioned officers little wonder he takes the least amount of money every month. The second lieutenant in Nigeria earns ₦120000 at the end of every month.
