It is 134 km (83.3 mi) long and extends from India to China. Two thirds of the length of this lake lies in China. In winter, the lake surface freezes completely despite being salt water. PANGONG LAKE DAL LAKE : The lake itself is connected to a number of other lakes The lake covers 18 square kilometres, divided by causeways into four basins, called 1)Gagribal, 2)Lokut Dal, 3)Bod Dal and 4)Nagin. DAL LAKE RIMO PEAK, NUBRA : RIMO PEAK, NUBRA AMARNATH YATRA : "The Himalayan pilgrimages are the oldest organised travel system, evolved over time by Hindu sages and embodying the spirit of wander, adventure and spirituality" AMARNATH YATRA Ice skiing : To make Gulmarg the winter sports capital of India Ice skiing Trekking : Developing the trek from Lamayuru in the Indus Valley to Darcha in Lahoul, across Zanskar Valley Trekking River rafting : Indus between Spituk and Nimu or Saspol, which rates 2 to 3 in the international river grading scale of 1 to 6.
