Slide 30 :Three-month duration to complete the project. Students can select their own topics in Health care, information resources, search technology or combinations etc. Finally, based on the topic there will be a presentation by the student and discussion with the faculty or experts to evaluate project report. Slide 32 :After the project work, three-month internship Hands on training in computer applications and assist the library staff of all sections Helps them to understand the practical problems in the real situation To manage problems independently. To get close experience in various sections of the library


Slide 33 :Eligibility BLISc with Degree in Biological Science or MLISc Duration The duration of the course will be one year; 6 month regular classes, 3 month project work, 3 month Internship. Examination 85% of attendance is required for theory and practical sessions separately. Examination after six month of the course, 4 theory and 2 Practical papers. Internal assessment consists of unit examination, assignment, seminar, presentation etc.

Slide 36 :Conclusion The universities conducting BLISc, MLISc etc lacks a medical library and faculty having the medical background. The medical institutes, with well-established library having Academic programs. National leading Medical Universities or medical institutes like AIIMS, SCTIMST, NIMHANS, JIPMER, PGI etc Diploma be the essential/required qualification for the post of the Medical Librarian, Medical Library Association of India (MLAI) should promote this course.
