Poe’s literary works - either a short story or poem Write a short analysis of the work you have selected (7-10 sentences). Create a PowerPoint - see sample Slide One - Anchor Slide - only your initials in 50+ font size Slide Two - Title slide - Works’ title, Author’s name, Your name, Date Slide Three - Input analysis paragraph. We are going to break a rule here so follow directions. Input your analysis paragraph onto the slide. Use Courier font type at 18pt. Select a background color and font color that contrast each other to ensure that they will be easily read. Now, highlight key words in your paragraph using yet another contrasting color. Select literary devices and terms to help evidence your understanding and application of them. Slide Four - #? You may create as many slides as you like in this step. Create slides that will become the background for a reading of the work. Employ symbolism and be abstract to create a dramatic effect for your audience. The Last Slide must have “The End” and look like the sample provided Present you Poem - You will present your poem to the class in a dramatic reading style. If you select a longer short story you may wish to work with a partner. You must have my prior approval and signature for this option. Both students will be required to present and have equal “stage “ time. If possible, you may record your narration and embed in you PowerPoint.
