How serious is the school budget cut? A budget cut of up to $27.5 million is introduced in Fremont School District, CA.
Class size is increased from 20:1 to 30:1 for grade 1-3 to trim 130 full time teachers and $4.4 million.
School year is reduced from 180 to 175 instructional days to squeeze $8.6 million.
We will lose 88 surplus teachers and 260 temp teachers in 2010 …
