Slide 1:Hermione’s ABCs Chapter 38 Special
Slide 2:A Note From the Author Hi, guys! It’s been a while since the last update. I’m sorry, but school started and I’ve been quite busy. Plus I procrastinate and get distracted easily. But never fear, I don’t intend on ending Hermione’s ABCs any time soon.
So, you may have noticed the title page has a new font. I recently found out how to download fonts and such, so we might be seeing some new fonts here and there. I do hope they show up alright, they’re very pretty.
This chapter encompasses a lot of time and sets up a lot, so pay very close attention to details. ;)
Enjoy! June ~
Slide 3:Hi, and welcome back to Hermione’s ABCs! It’s been awhile, so let’s recap. In our last chapter, “Bella Squared,” Harry prepared for his and Bella’s wedding. Bella expressed some reservations, and on the night of the wedding she was a no-show. It turned out she had been abducted by aliens, and their influence made her decide to change her ways and stop being awful to Harry. But when she returned Harry would have none of it and kicked her out, and Bella found refuge with Helena, who believed her almost-sister-in-law’s tale. The next morning Helena figured out the mysterious prophecy Harry had been given proved Bella was telling the truth. We left off with Helena figuring out Harry was about to pay a visit.
Slide 4:“What?! Now? He’s coming over now?” Bella asked, her voice panicky.
“Bella, relax--” Helena started.
“How can I relax? He hates me, why is he coming over here?!”
Slide 5:Harry ran faster than he ever had in his life, and soon arrived at his old childhood home. He noted it looked exactly the same as when he had left it, but the thought was quickly ignored.
She wasn’t lying…she was telling the truth!
Slide 6:Helena saw him coming and opened the door. Bella froze as her eyes met Harry’s.
“Hi, Harry. Um, good morning.” Helena said.
Harry said nothing and brushed past his sister, over to Bella. Helena smiled a tiny bit.
Slide 7:“Um…hi, Harry,” Bella said quietly.
“Hi.” he said. There was a pause. Finally Harry spoke again, “Well…I believe you.”
“I gave you every reason not to.” Bella said sadly. “Listen, Harry…”
Slide 8:“I am so, so sorry for all I did to you. I was selfish and stupid, and I never gave a second thought to you. But that’s going to change. I promise I’ll be better. No more lying, o-or cheating, or anything.” She tilted her head and looked at him. “I mean, I understand if you don’t think we should be together anymore…”
Slide 9:“I never said that.”
Bella smiled. “Okay.”
He looked at her, and his eyes found the cut on her cheek. “What happened?”
“Don’t touch it!” Bella said automatically; the cut was throbbing dully.
“I won’t.”
Slide 10:Instead he ran his hand down the other side of her face, smiling sweetly. An immense wave of relief flooded over Bella.
“I don’t deserve you.” she said.
“Maybe not. But I still love you more than anything,” he said softly.
Slide 11:“Really?”
“Really.”
Slide 12:“Y-you still wanna get married?” Bella asked.
“Of course.”
He pulled her close, and she said shyly, “Me too.”
Slide 14:Harry and Bella were soon back home.
“I never thought I’d be so happy to be here,” Bella laughed.
Slide 15:“But…Harry?”
“Yes?”
“There’s something I have to do.”
“Really? What?” Harry asked, confused.
“Well…today I say I’ll change, and today I mean it. But what if I can’t? I mean, it’s not in my nature right now. So I decided to make sure that never happened.” Bella explained.
Slide 16:“You don’t have to do this, you know.” Harry said as Bella hesitated before the machine.
“Yes I do. Knowledge isn’t too bad, is it?” Bella asked.
“I’m partial to Family myself--” Harry began.
“NO.” Bella said firmly, half-serious. She pressed a few buttons; the machine beeped and whirred, and Bella stuck her head inside, ignoring many rules of common sense.
Slide 17:After a few minutes, the machine stopped whirring and Bella stepped out.
“You okay?” Harry asked.
“I’m great, actually!” Bella eyed the room critically. “We need more bookcases,” she said. Harry laughed and replied, “Whatever you say.”
Smiling, Bella said, “Well, I say we get this whole wedding thing out of the way, how about you?”
“I’d love that.”
Slide 18:So the guests were invited again for a daytime wedding this time around. But because of this, Mimi and Simon couldn’t come because of work, but they offered their best wishes and apologies. Even so, Harry was smiling widely and standing in the chapel once again.
Slide 19:Once again Bella stood in the foyer awaiting the opening notes of the wedding march. But this time she wasn’t nervous at all, but rather content and confident. She actually wanted to do this, and the pure happiness of it all made her heart soar.
Slide 20:Helena wasn’t worried this time around either. She played the song and every so often she’d glance up at her brother’s luminous smile.
Everything seemed to stop for a minute as the congregation awaited the bride’s entrance. Doubt was at the back of everyone’s mind, if not the front. With bated breath everyone hoped and prayed the bride wouldn’t be a no-show today.
Slide 21:And she wasn’t. The doors swung open and there she was, every bit as beautiful as her name implied. She was smiling as widely as Harry was, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief and smiled too.
Slide 22:Vows were spoken, with the meaning behind each word ringing true. As June had predicted, everyone started tearing up. Harry and Bella had come a long way, a long, winding way with many detours and bumps in the road, but they’d made it. And they were far from perfect, but no one is perfect anyway.
Slide 23:You be the prince, and I’ll be the princess
It’s a love story, baby, and you said yes.
Slide 24:And after all the trials and tribulations, Bella finally became a Granger wife.
“I love you,” she said, meaning it with all her heart.
“I know.”
Slide 25:He kissed her with all his might. It was the best surprise of Bella’s life.
Slide 26:After the wedding, Harry and Bella redecorated and expanded the house. It looked much more friendly now, they agreed. Bella eagerly pursued the path of knowledge; it was a path she’d never considered before, and it fit her quite well. Harry just loved being with her, and he was his sisters’ children’s favorite visitor. They were a very happy little family.
Slide 27:A little family that was about to get a little bigger.
“Harry?” Bella said one afternoon.
“Hmm?” Harry replied, flipping channels on TV.
“I…well, I’m pregnant.” Bella said, rarely one to beat around the bush. Harry froze. “R-really?!”
“Of course really, I wouldn’t mess with you like that! Come see,” Bella said, laughing.
Slide 28:“Oh, wow. This is amazing, incredible, wonderful news!” Harry exclaimed. Bella let him obsess over her and her tiny baby bump for a while. She knew how much this meant to him.
“Running out of adjectives there?” she joked.
“Nope. It’s awesome and brilliant and perfect and lovely and splendid and remarkable and marvelous and fabulous and spifftastic and…okay, now I’m out of adjectives.”
Slide 29:“Do you think we’ll have a boy or a girl?” Bella wondered.
“Either would be fine. So would both. But…I dunno…I just have this feeling that it’s a girl.”
“What, Family Sim baby sixth sense?”
“Something like that.”
Slide 30:Night fell around them.
“I’m just so excited,” Harry said, gently pulling his wife close to him.
“I know. I am too.”
Slide 31:No, really. Bella IS excited to be a mom, see? I was surprised, I didn’t expect Bella to change so readily. Maybe she wasn’t suited to Romance in the first place. Oh well.
Slide 32:But fortunately, pregnancy doesn’t last forever, and a few nights later Bella felt the lovely pains of labor.
“AGH!!!”
“Um, breathe? Or something?”
“HARRY QUICK IS IT TWIRL AND SPIN OR THE OTHER WAY AROUND?! WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE ANYWAY?”
“I don’t know!!”
Harry was a little panicked. Childbirth was a lot louder than he had anticipated.
Slide 33:But soon it was all over, and this branch of the Grangers welcomed the last of Generation I, a little girl.
“Harry, your Family Sim baby sixth sense is real,” Bella commented, smiling as her daughter blinked at her.
Slide 34:“Wow, really? Awesome!” Harry said excitedly. If he had been eager during the pregnancy, it had been multiplied many times by actually getting to meet his daughter.
“Yes. She’s got brown hair from your side and green eyes from…” Bella paused. “Okay, my mom and your dad both have green eyes. You know they’re gonna fight over whose eyes she has.”
“Well…let’s say she got one from each of them.” Harry said, happy for a compromise.
Slide 35:“So, what do you want to name her?” Bella asked.
Harry thought for a moment, and his thoughts wandered to the prophecy. Had it all really come true?
Faith shall intertwine them forevermore.
Suddenly that last line of the prophecy made sense to him.
“Are you okay with Faith?” Harry asked with a grin.
“I’m very okay with Faith. So hello there, Faith Joy Granger,” Bella said.
Slide 36:“Hi indeed,” Harry said, grinning like a lunatic.
Slide 37:Time passed, as it often does, and soon Faith was an adorable little girl. She was a good mix of both her parents, but was pretty much destined to be a daddy’s girl.
Slide 38:Harry loved spending every moment he could with her; Bella loved their daughter, but was more than happy to let Harry take over many parenting duties. Bella, newly eager to try new things, got a job to keep her busy.
Slide 39:*blinks*
Woah, guys, SimJune’s a GRANDMA now! D:
Anyway, my darling granddaughter got both her good looks and her mean streak from her parents. Yep, guess who has one nice point and isn’t afraid to use it.
Slide 40:“Come on, Faith honey! Say your name. It’s easy, see? Faith!” Harry said to his stubborn daughter.
“No! I dun wanna!” Faith said defiantly, her little face curling into a scowl.
Harry rolled his eyes and called to Bella, “She gets this from you.”
“No way! You’re the stubborn one,” Bella scoffed.
Slide 41:Harry tried again. “How about chair?”
“’Kay, Daddy. Chair!” Faith cooed, smiling. Harry had been starting to get frustrated with her, but hearing her say “daddy” made him melt.
Bella noticed and smirked, “She gets that from me.”
Slide 42:Harry and Bella are great parents. I mean, Harry being a good parent is pretty much a given, but new Knowledge!Bella is as well. She’s a Knowledge Sim like Helena, who rolls up wants to teach her kids skills. I was pleasantly surprised.
Slide 43:Faith soon grew up, as Sims are wont to do. And WOW, she’s really pretty! She got Harry’s nose! I think! I really hoped she would, it’s a nice nose.
Slide 44:“I like my room, Daddy!” Faith said cheerily.
“Oh, good. Your mother helped with the decorating, it’s not really my thing.” Harry said.
Slide 45:Harry smiled as he looked into his daughter’s sparkling green eyes and listened to her adorable laughter. He’d never been happier.
He finally had everything he’d ever wanted.
Slide 46:Across town at Granger Estate, the current heads of the household sat in their kitchen talking.
“Isn’t it funny how the twins love dressing alike?” Helena said.
“Yeah. I mean, they got upset when we tried to dress them differently.” Seb replied.
Helena chuckled. “It’s really sweet. I got them some matching outfits so they’re not in bear costumes all day.”
“This does make them harder to tell apart.” Seb noted.
“Oh, don’t worry. At least they’re not identical.”
Slide 47:The twins were very close, as twins often were. They did insist on being dressed alike.
Slide 48:Inigo and Imago were always together in the nursery, often doing the same things. It often seemed they were on the same wavelength of thought, because they were.
Slide 49:The elder Granger siblings were also very close; the age gap between them and the twins limited their relationship, though. While Imperius was quite bossy, she loved playing with her younger siblings.
Slide 50:Helena and Seb were very involved in their children’s lives. Helena loved helping them study and learn. Seb was the sort of laid-back parent who would let the kids get away with anything.
Slide 51:“You’ll never beat me, Isla! Daddy’s the king of SSX!”
“Feh! You’re old! I’m young and more nimble, so there!”
“Kick his butt, Isla!”
“Almeric!”
“Come on, Dad, stop trash-talking and focus on the mountain!”
“I’m just trying to read…”
“Oh, hush, Helena, let us have our fun.”
Slide 52:“Yeah! Gawd, Mama, don’t you know that video games are serious business?”
Word.
Slide 53:Not long after the serious business SSX tournament, our sweet little Isla follows Imperius into teendom. Isla’s really pretty in my opinion, I love Seb’s nose. I’m not crazy about the lips, but I guess I can’t have nice things.
Slide 54:Isla retains her gorgeousness and rolls Popularity, which really suits her. Grandpa Almeric is proud. Isla wants to be Captain Hero like her great-grandma Audrey. Yeah, after awhile in the Alphabetacy every LTW and aspiration can be just like someone else’s.
Slide 55:That night was also the twins’ birthday.
“Come on, um…uh…Helena, which one is this again?” Seb asked as the child in his arms smiled.
Helena glanced over and laughed. “That’s Inigo, Seb, duh.”
“How do you tell?” Seb asked, examining his younger son.
“He’s got darker skin, Imago’s light like you. And Imago has your nose but Inigo has your mouth. Don’t worry, it’ll be easier to tell them apart when they’re older.”
Slide 56:With the whole family gathered around, the two youngest of Generation I prepared to grow up.
Slide 57:Helena’s words rang true. When the twins grew up is became quite easy to tell them apart. The most notable difference was Inigo’s glasses; he was quite far-sighted and couldn’t see a thing without them.
Slide 58:“Inny, do you remember when I--?”
“Had that vision of Mama? Yes, I remember.”
“What do you suppose that was?”
Slide 59:“Well, I’ve been thinking about it. But nothing really makes much sense,” Inigo said.
“Maybe we’re like fortune tellers!” Imago suggested excitedly.
“I really don’t think so,” Inigo laughed.
From downstairs Helena called, “Time for bed!”
Slide 60:The twins changed into pajamas and went off to bed.
“Good night, Immy.”
“G’night, Inny,” Imago mumbled, already half-asleep.
But the peace of the night didn’t last long.
Slide 61:In the middle of the night Inigo tossed and turned, and sat up suddenly, looking dazed. “I…what?”
“Mmph? Inny? Whassa matter?” Imago said, rousing herself.
“I…I don’t really know…I had a weird dream.”
Slide 62:Imago got out of bed and went over to her brother. “Can you see?”
“No. But it’s okay.”
“What happened in your dream?”
“Well…I saw Grandma standing somewhere, all alone. And…she was sad, very sad, and she was crying.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. But the dream…it just made me feel sad, and pained. I don’t know why,” Inigo said, his face scrunching up in thought.
Slide 63:“It just felt so…real.”
“Can we go back to sleep now?” Imago yawned.
“Yes, I’m okay now. It’s just so strange, I felt like I was watching Grandma, not dreaming about her.”
Slide 64:Across town at Harry’s home, it was Faith’s birthday. Once she finished her homework, that is.
“Now, come on, Faith, you’re a smart girl. It’s easy!”
“Maybe for you! You’re smarter.” Faith said.
“Faith Joy Granger, don’t you dare con your father into doing your homework.” Bella said from across the room.
“Huh?” Faith said innocently.
“Yeah, like butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth,” Bella smirked.
Slide 65:But soon enough Faith had done her homework and it was time for the birthday sparklies to take over.
Slide 66:Faith is very pretty, like her cousins. She rolled Family like her dad, and her LTW is…
*looks*
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAoh crap.
Well, it seems Faith definitely wants to make her daddy happy. Harry wants six grandkids, remember? And Faith…well, Faith wants to marry off six kids. Thus “AHAHAHAHA” because it’s so eerily appropriate, and “oh crap” because…well, it’s pretty obvious. Oh, Faith, why’d you do me like this?
Slide 67:“Ooh, pretty in pink indeed. I look goooood.”
You’re just like your mother, you know that?
“Vain?”
Yes, and occasionally annoying. Like, your LTW annoys me a lot. *ponders* Actually…this could work out rather well…heh heh heh.
“Should I be alarmed?”
Yes.
Slide 68:The Generation I cousins are all very close.
“Give it up, Isla! My dad’s an ace at this game, it’s all in the genes!”
“Oh, that’s what you think! I’m the queen of SSX, I’ll have you know!”
“You ain’t in Kansas anymore, honey, this isn’t SSX!”
Slide 69:“Oh…crap.”
Slide 70:Meanwhile, in Bluewater Village!
“Yay, Knoxie! I knew you’d be a smarticle like your daddy!”
“Smarticle’s not a word, Mom.”
“See? You’re a genius!”
Slide 71:Mimi’s not far off, actually. Knox skills really really fast. He truly is a smarticle. ^_^
Slide 72:So after playing Knox’s entire childhood, it’s time to get reacquainted with our friends the birthday sparklies. Also, I got Simon and Mimi permaplat, so I don’t have to deal with their piddly Pleasure Sim wants anymore.
Slide 73:…Wow. Knox grew up really well, like the rest of his cousins. He rolled Romance, and wants to be a Pro Party Guest, which I think fits him perfectly.
Now, why am I growing up all of Generation I? For the first time ever, the main line cousins are coming to Uni this time around! Won’t it be fun?
Slide 74:Back at the main house, Inigo and Imago were enjoying each other’s company as they often did. The two were virtually inseparable.
“So, Inny, I have this really great idea to get us some of Mama’s skittles…”
“Immy, please, I don’t want to die young. Mama hoards skittles like a dragon hoards gold, I bet she doesn’t even let Dad have any.” Inigo laughed. “And besides, we can just go buy some ourselves without risking our lives.”
“But this is way more fun, trust me, it’ll be--” But suddenly Imago faltered and stopped talking. She blinked and twitched. It seemed she was staring at something only she could see.
Slide 75:“I-Inny?” She sounded dazed. “I…I don’t…”
“Immy? Imago! Are you okay?!” Inigo cried, starting to panic.
“Perfect imperfection, charms undone, hearts twisted, unseeing eyes through blue tint peering…” Imago whispered, her voice sounding strangely older.
“Are you okay?!” he repeated desperately.
Slide 76:“I don’t…I don’t feel so good…” Imago murmured in her own voice. Her eyes closed and she fell backwards.
“Oh my gosh, Immy!” Inigo cried as his twin fell to the floor.
Slide 77:“MAMA! Something’s wrong with Immy!!” Inigo yelled as Imago laid there, her breath coming gently.
Slide 78:Helena rushed over to her fallen daughter.
“Imago darling? Are you alright?” Helena asked, shaking her gently. She glanced over at Inigo, who was close to tears. “What happened?”
“I don’t know! She just fell over!”
“I think she fainted. Calm down. Maybe she was dehydrated or something.” Imago’s eyelids fluttered suddenly. “See? She’s alright.”
Slide 79:Imago sat up, rubbing her head. “Ow, that smarts. What happened?”
“You fainted, honey.” Helena peered at her daughter. “I think you were dehydrated.” She glanced at Inigo. “Inigo, would you take her upstairs? I think she should lie down for a little while.”
Slide 80:Inigo did so and made sure his twin at least sat down.
“What did you see?” he asked.
“How’d you know?” she replied.
“I think you were right. We’re like fortune tellers, and I believe you just had a vision. What did you see?”
Slide 81:“I saw…I saw me and you.” Imago said after a moment. “Well, older versions of us. You were worried and scared. I was scared too, but not as much as you. And everything went dark. And then…you were really happy and content, and I…I was upset. Upset at you, and angry, and lonely. It felt so real, but I hope it’s not.”
“What about the things you said?” Inigo inquired.
Imago looked startled. “Huh?”
“You said some weird things… ‘perfect imperfection.’ It was weird.”
“I don’t remember that…” Imago muttered. She clambered off the bed.
Slide 82:“What does all this mean, Inny?” she asked.
“I don’t know exactly. I do know that we’re probably Seers.”
Imago grinned widely. “That’s so cool! I mean, it’s a little weird, but still! We’re special, Inny.”
“I guess so.”
Slide 83:“So you get visions in dreams, but I have to pass out.”
“Yes. So now let’s just pretend you have fainting spells.”
“Why? Can’t we tell people?”
Inigo shook his head quickly. “No! They’ll either think we’re crazy or they’ll send us off to a laboratory to get tested and stuff. This is our secret, okay?”
“Okay.”
Slide 84:The next morning Gabi ventured up to the rooftop to check on the bear. But she found it had vanished overnight.
“Oh my God, the bear!” she gasped. Who could have taken it? Who would have wanted to?
Slide 85:But it didn’t matter who had taken it or where it had went. All that mattered was that it was gone, and all Gabi could do was cry.
Slide 86:Gabi went back downstairs dejectedly and sat down in the living room.
“Oh, there you are, Gabi.” Almeric said. “Helena and I are going to Bluewater to pick up some things and pay Mimi a visit. Would you like to come?”
“No, I don’t feel very well today,” Gabi said with a sad smile. “But you two can go. I could use some time to myself.”
“Alright, Mom, we’ll be back soon.” Helena said.
Slide 87:The door clicked as Gabi was left alone in the house. She slumped in her chair with a sigh.
I can’t believe I let myself lose the bear. It was Mom’s last gift to me, and I lost it. I’m sorry, Mom…I’m so sorry I let you down. I’m such a failure. I guess I’m just a disappointment no matter what I do. With my children, with my parents, with everything…
Slide 88:She didn’t look up when she heard the door swing open, thinking Helena or Almeric had forgotten something. But when she didn’t hear someone saying hello, or asking her why she looked so upset, she started to wonder and glanced up.
Slide 89:Standing in Gabi’s living room was a stranger. She was a young woman with jet black hair pulled back in a ponytail, who looked oddly familiar. And in her hands she held…
“The bear!” Gabi exclaimed.
Slide 90:The girl placed the bear at Gabi’s feet in some sort of peace offering.
Gabi nudged the bear closer with her foot and said, “Who are you and why’d you steal my bear?”
Slide 91:The girl smiled. “Well, technically it’s my bear. My name is Demelza Robin Granger, and I saved your life.” She chuckled. “Wow, that sounded really dramatic and self-important.”
Slide 92:Gabi folded her arms and scowled. “Yeah, sure you’re Demelza. Prove it.”
“Well, I don’t exactly have a badge, but I can tell you my story. Is that okay?”
Slide 93:Gabi thought a moment and nodded, and the two women sat on the couch.
“So. How come no one knows anything about you?” Gabi started.
Demelza sighed. “Well, first off, there were ten children in Generation D. I was the ninth. My twin Draco was the tenth. And when we were all at college…bad things happened.”
Slide 94:“What sort of bad things?” Gabi asked.
“Very bad things. Our sister Daisy…she killed us, nearly all of us. Only Dolores and Druella survived. And so for a very long time, I was dead. Until, that is, when you were a little girl…when you got sick.”
Slide 95:“Gabrielle, you and your siblings getting sick wasn’t an accident. It was deliberate, an elaborate revenge plan.” Demelza explained. “And somehow, someone found out about it.”
Slide 96:“That someone was named Astoria. She knew something had to be done, and my twin Draco and I had once known her. She resurrected me and Draco, and we saved you, Ginny, and George.”
“Thank you,” Gabi said. It was all she had to say.
Slide 97:“So why did you take the bear, then?” Gabi asked.
“Well, there was one thing I didn’t understand. Audrey had had the bear, and claimed it had warned her about you getting sick. Now, your mother was not crazy, so I decided to figure out what was going on.”
Slide 98:“When I was young I spent almost every minute with that bear. It was my security blanket. And somehow…it became like me.”
“Huh?”
“There is something special, something supernatural about that bear. It’s not normal. When Audrey came into contact with it…well, being raised by a zombie surely does something to you. There’s a bear just like this one at the orphanage. So somehow information passed between the bears, and my bear warned Audrey, acting as I would have done in the situation.”
Slide 99:“That’s…unusual.” Gabi said, struggling to find the right word.
“It’s certainly special. My mother was supernatural; she went through supernatural changes when she was pregnant with me and Draco. All I know for sure is there’s something special about the bear.”
Slide 100:“Does anyone know you’re alive?” Gabi asked.
“Besides you? No one outside my house. We send Draco’s daughter and my son to regular school, but they know not to mention us by name.”
“Not even your sister Druella?”
Demelza sighed. “No. Draco and I were never particularly close to Druella; the murders really tore us all apart, none of us trusted each other. Besides, what’s the point?”
“I’m sure she’d be happy to see you again.”
Slide 101:“I don’t like to dwell on the past much. I’ve accepted what happened. I don’t feel there’s any need to keep going back to it. What’s done is done, and no matter how much I’d like to, I can’t change it. I love being with my brother, my sister-in-law, my niece, and especially my son; I love him to pieces. Daisy and Dolores were right to keep it secret. What good would it do? It would only cause more pain.”
Slide 102:“How could you just get over something like that?” Gabi wondered.
“She was sorry,” Demelza said softly. “She couldn’t undo what she did, but she wished she could.”
There was a moment of silence. “I still think you should visit Druella.” Gabi suggested.
Slide 103:“I have to go,” Demelza said, rising.
“Wait a second. I just want to thank you. Thank you for saving my life, and thank you for giving me closure. I…my mother wanted me to find you and make sure you knew how much you mean to us, to our whole family.”
“It’s my family too. You’re very welcome.”
Slide 105:Not long after Helena and Almeric returned.
“Well, you look happy,” Almeric noticed, smiling at her.
Slide 106:“Well, that’s because I am happy,” Gabi said, feeling more at peace than she ever had.
Slide 107:One evening Inigo was up in his room, writing in a blank notebook. At least, it had been blank when he found it. Since then he’d filled up several pages.
Immy’s had several more visions at school, all small things, like Isla beating Dad in SSX. I’ve had several more dreams. Also, I found I’ve written on walls, on my hands, anywhere, in my sleep. I wrote them all down before I washed them off, and now I leave paper nearby. They’ve all been fragments of sentences or just words, seeming to have no relation to each other. I had a dream that seemed far more serious than the rest--
Slide 108:“Inny?”
“Augh!” Inigo cried, pulling the notebook to his chest. “Oh…it’s just you,” he said, relaxing upon spotting Imago.
“Ooh, Inny’s got a diary!” Imago teased. “Why so jumpy?”
“It’s not a diary,” Inigo said, placing the notebook back on the shelf and turning to her.
Slide 109:“Then what is it?”
“It’s a record of all the visions you have and all the dreams I have, and if they came true or not. I just thought it’d be good to have.” Inigo explained.
Slide 110:“Wow, Inny, that’s a great idea!” Imago exclaimed.
“Really? You think so?”
“Yeah! See, this is why you’re the smart twin and I’m the fun twin,” she teased.
He rolled his eyes. “Whatever you say, Immy.”
Slide 111:OMGWTFBBQ THANK PLUMBBOB!!
Oh yes, Seb is finally a rock star. FINALLY. After getting fired and having to wait for like a week for Music to show up again, after a horribly slow climb up the career ladder, he’s finally done it!
Slide 112:“Come on, Inny! Feel the smustle! Do you feel it?” Imago encouraged.
“I feel embarrassed. Does that count?” Inigo replied, desperately trying to remember the steps of the complicated smustle dance.
“You’re so awkward. Just follow my lead.”
Slide 113:“Step aside, little ones, Isla and I are masters of the smustle,” Imperius said, monopolizing the dance floor. Soon, mostly on Inigo’s part by copying, all the Granger kids were feeling the smustle.
Except Ig. Ig was confused.
“Wha?”
Slide 114:Soon it was time for poor confused Ig to grow up. I predict attractiveness.
Slide 115:Yay, my predictions rock! Ignotus grows up quite nicely and suddenly looks a lot like Seb. In an odd roll of the dice, Ig becomes a Knowledge Sim who wants to be an Education Minister like Dolores.
*looks at Wants panel*
Oh, dear. Ig, we need to talk.
Slide 116:Honey? I know you’re a Knowledge Sim and all, but I am not zombifying you.
“Oh, come on! Please?”
NO. I’ve been down that road, buddy, and I am not travelling it again.
“Vampire, then?”
NO. Been down that road too. Got bored.
“You suck at making Knowledge Sims happy.”
Your mom’s happy, isn’t she?
“Wait, is that a your mom joke?”
What the--? NO.
Slide 117:Isla is a very good Popularity Sim. She’s very nice and friendly, and has the most balanced personality of the generation. She’s very easy to keep happy. So shut up, Ig, I keep plenty of Sims happy, and if you’d reroll that damn undead scholarship want you’d be happy too! *sulks*
Slide 118:Imp, however, is never platinum because I’m too lazy to get her a boyfriend.
“I’m hoooooome! I’m a Family Sim so this foolish coding forces me into idiotic behavior!”
You got demoted.
“Curse this coding!”
Slide 119:“Inny, do you know what today is?” Imago asked.
“Of course. It’s our birthday,” Inigo replied.
“We’re not gonna be able to dress alike anymore.”
“Why not?”
“Cause I want out of this dorky sweater vest,” Inigo said snarkily.
He rolled his eyes and laughed. “Okay.”
Slide 120:“Inny?”
“Yes?”
“We’re going to be best friends forever, right?”
“Of course. You’ll always be my twin, and we’ll always be together. And we’ll take care of each other.”
“Good. Cause otherwise I’d miss you.”
Slide 121:Night fell around the twins.
“We should probably get inside.” Inigo said sensibly.
“Hug first,” his twin insisted.
Slide 122:“Of course,” Inigo agreed.
Slide 123:The family gathered around the twins as the last beams of sunlight flooded the house.
“I’m nervous, Inny,” Imago whispered.
“Don’t be. I’ll go first,” Inigo assured her.
Slide 124:“See? It’s easy,” Inigo said.
“Okay.”
Slide 125:The twins grew up very well, just as pretty/handsome as their elder siblings.
Inigo became a Knowledge Sim like Ignotus, and wants to be a Mad Scientist.
Imago rolled Fortune, which sorta kinda fits her, and wants to top the Law career.
Slide 126:A few streets down at an average-looking house, Demelza Granger walked across a perfect green lawn. The house was a perfect picture of average suburbia, the most normal-looking house on one of the many long avenues where spares lived. Demelza squinted in the sunlight and considered going back home. But she’d thought about what Gabrielle had said, and decided Druella deserved to know. Now, Draco and Demelza were pretty much the only family Druella had left.
Slide 127:She knocked on the door, half-hoping no one would be home. But soon came her sister’s singsong, happy voice: “Coming! Just a minute.”
Hearing Dru’s voice again was immensely comforting to Demelza. She knew she couldn’t just leave now.
Slide 128:Druella came to the door. She stared at Demelza through the glass, eyes wide, mouth agape. It seemed she’d lost her voice; her mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water, but no words came out.
“Hey, Dru,” Demelza said with a grin.
Slide 129:“Oh…oh my God. Demelza?! It--it can’t be you! You’re dead. You’ve been dead for years and years. I put flowers on your grave…” Druella stammered, looking terrified and amazed.
“Well, I’m back.”
Druella shook her head. “No…no, you’re just an apparition…yes, that’s it…it can’t really be you…!”
“If you let me in I’ll prove it,” Demelza offered.
Druella hesitated, but she opened the door.
Slide 130:“Is it really you?” Druella whispered, peering into Demelza’s eyes, gentle, light blue meeting flashing green.
“Come on, Dru, can’t you recognize your dear baby sister who ate your science fair project when you were in the fourth grade?” Demelza grinned, faintly remembering chewing on Druella’s solar system model as a toddler.
“Oh my…it is you!” Druella cried happily.
Slide 131:“I can’t believe this! This is a miracle!” Druella continued, reaching out for her sister. “You have no idea how lonely it’s been since Dolores and Daisy died, and Mom and Dad too. “
“I know. We should have told you sooner…” Demelza said.
“Wait, we?”
“Draco too.”
Druella’s smile got wider.
Slide 132:The sisters hugged each other with all the strength they had, making up for lost years in one moment.
Demelza was surprised Druella hadn’t asked any questions, and said, “Wait, don’t you want to know everything? How we came back and stuff?”
Slide 133:“No,” Druella said simply, “All that matters is that you’ve here.”
Demelza never realized how much she appreciated a true optimist.
Slide 134:We’ll leave off with some Faith spam, cause who doesn’t like that?
Next time, Inigo and Imago discover more about their powers, and find being Seers is more complex than they thought. And we’ll have our Generation I heir poll! See you then!
Slide 135:False face must hide what false heart doth know.
