July 9 2008- July 9, 2009 The year went by so fast, I never thought this would last, I hoped I’d make it this far, Even though some tried to mar, Everybody give a cheer For a truly fantastic year! Slide 2: Hi, everyone! July 9, 2009, marks that my Alphabetacy, Hermione’s ABCs, is one year old. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I would be away and not around to mark this important date. But I did do something to celebrate! Ultimate Recap Chapter, anyone? Yes, I know six months ago in December I did a recap, but hey, more recap is awesome! I will recap each of my 35 chapters and 6 interludes in chronological order. I will talk about what happened, who was born, who died, who was named heir, and so on. Also, at the end I will list everyone born in each generation; main line and the children of spares who have been born by this time, with pictures if I’m not too lazy to find them. Onward! Slide 3: In Chapter One of my Alphabetacy, we met our foundress, Hermione Granger. She was a sweet little Virgo Knowledge Sim, with brown hair and brown eyes. I called her Hermy to her discontent. She wasn’t happy at first when she learned she needed to have at least three kids, but she soon had a roof over her head and steady income as an Adventurer. She married Matt Hart from LFT, who would later curse us with his horrid nose until it was eradicated in Generation E. I continually called him Ron, or when he was lucky, Ron/Matt. Finally, the first child of Generation A, Arianna, was born, and we soon found she had once nice point. Great. Finally, Arianna’s little brother Aberforth was born. Slide 4: In Chapter Two, we found we were cursed with firstborn syndrome; all the kids were clones of Arianna, with one nice point. Aberforth became a goody two-shoes dork, Ari terrorized kids at school but made friends with Marsha Bruenig, and the last child, Araminta, was born, and was a tiger, complete with face paint and communicating though the word “rawr.” Arianna grew up and became a Pleasure Sim, Aberforth grew up and became a Romance Sim, which baffled me. Ari and Abe started a feud stemming from Ari being evil and Abe being good and both of them being mean. Araminta became a Family Sim and then we had our heir poll. Slide 5: Chapter Three was the first chapter with a title, albeit a lame one, “Getting ‘A’ducated.” In it, the winner of the heir poll was revealed to be Arianna, and the A kids went to college. Ari became a Knowledge Sim, Araminta dropped out, and Ari and Abe started a Greek House. They pledged in Meadow Thayer, who’d they’d known as teens, and Abe started romancing anything in a skirt, including Meadow. Ari met a llama mascot named Kennedy, and even though he rejected her first kiss twice, they eventually became a couple and got engaged. Abe was promised to grown-up Marsha Bruenig, and Meadow swore vengeance for being dumped. The family moved to Fort Granger, which was the family home for a time, and Ari came back home after graduation. Slide 6: Chapter 4, “Weddings & Babies & Other Legacy Junk”, told of Araminta and Abe’s lives. Araminta married Komei Tellerman and had twin daughters, Avada and Kedavra, and Abe married Marsha Bruenig and had twin sons, Expecto and Patronum. Ari married Kennedy, called Ken, but everyone was in the mausoleum during the ceremony talking about clouds. *eyeroll* Creepy blonde Komei clone driver ogled Hermione in a rather revealing career outfit, which has been a running gag ever since. Hermione and Matt got old, and Ari got pregnant with her oldest child, a daughter named Belvina. Ari also went into the Paranormal career to get the Resurrecting Phone. Baby boy Baron was born. Guy Wrightley often showed up to beat us up for spying on Ron/Matt’s old Greek house. Belvina became another one nice pointer with the Matt nose with a liking for the color pink. Slide 7: In Chapter 5, “Who Will B Heir?”, Ron/Matt went Permaplat, following Hermione. Baron escaped the Matt nose, but was boring. Ari earned the Resurrecting Phone, much to my liking. Baron became neat, nice, and shy, which was a rarity, and resembled his father. Ari has the last child, a girl named Bathilda, nicknamed Baby, and Ari then immediately went to work, this time to earn a Cowplant. Ken became Chief of Staff and went Permaplat. Ari earned a Cowplant, which we named Moo-Moo. Moo-Moo ate Guy Wrightley because he was annoying. Ari set a counterfeiting machine on fire and Ken almost died. Annoying townie Randy London commented on my lack of skill, and I threatened to kill him. Belvina became a Fortune Sim and Ken’s co-worker Sandy Wren was eaten by Moo-Moo and zombified. Bathilda grew up with the personality of a rabid badger, Baron grew up, rolled Popularity, and got a funny hat, and Bathilda became a Pleasure Sim. Slide 8: In Chapter 6, “Lies and B-ception”, we said good-bye to our founders Hermione and Matt. The B kids headed off to college and the newly elected heiress, Belvina, moved into Granger Greek House. There she found intrigue and mystery. One placeholder, Candy, suspected the other, Meadow, of plotting something, but she wasn’t sure what. Bel tried to find out what Meadow was up to, and finally realized Meadow was looking to get revenge against Bel’s Uncle Aberforth. Meadow refused to give details but was obviously up to something, and graduated soon after. Candy started dating the new llama mascot, also named Kennedy. Meanwhile, the last member of Ron/Matt’s old Greek house was killed off, and Granger Greek moved there and became Sorority of Death, whose motto is, “U Will Die.” Bathilda joined S o’ D and reported that Baron had a cannibal girlfriend. Bel joined the Secret Society, and Bathilda and Kennedy started an affair, even though Kennedy and Candy were engaged. Dormie/Abe’s old girlfriend Marion pledged in. Bathilda found Kennedy and Marion together and ended things between herself and him. Bel graduated and moved back home. Slide 9: Chapter 7, “Rocky Abbey Road”, found us at the home of Meadow Thayer. Meadow made enemies with Aberforth’s wife Marsha, and Meadow got herself pregnant with Aberforth’s child. Meadow revealed her plan to her old friend Arianna; Meadow would make Aberforth leave his wife and sons by having his child, and thus she’d have him all to herself as she always wanted. Arianna warned her it wouldn’t work, but Meadow wouldn’t listen. Meadow had a little girl named Abbey. However, Aberforth refused to leave his family for Meadow and Abbey. Abbey grew up with strong resemblance to her father’s side of the family, including the Granger one nice point. Meanwhile, Belvina met and married a man named Damion Anderson, and got Permaplat in one day. My Simself stopped by the Legacy house for the first time, and Bel found herself pregnant. Slide 10: In Chapter 8, “Come C Belvina’s Babies!”, Bel gave birth to the Legacy’s first natural twins, a boy and a girl named Charlie and Celestina. Arianna intended to take Celestina as her evil prodigy, but Cel turned out to be quite nice so nothing really came of it. Ari and Ken got old. Cel developed a liking for the karaoke machine. Bel had the last baby, a little girl without the Matt nose named Carlotta. Cel made friends with Abbey, but Meadow banned Abbey from talking with her distant relatives; Abbey had no idea she was a Granger. Damion went Permaplat. Cel got glitched trying to play Marco Polo with ghostly Hermione, so Charlie grew up and rolled Family without his twin by his side. Cel grew up and rolled Popularity soon after. Carlotta grew up cute and rolled Family, but the rest of the chapter was glitched up so no one ever saw her cuteness. Charlie dated a girl named Christy and over at S o’ D, Marion became a vampire, which meant she met Charlie’s turn-ons of brunette vampires. Slide 11: In Chapter 9, “Attack of the 10 Kids”, the C kids went to college and Charlie was named heir. He and Marion hit it off and were soon engaged, even though Marion was dating Kennedy. They broke up and became enemies. With that, Charlie and Marion dropped out, I revealed Generation D would have ten kids, and Charlie prepared to marry Marion. She actually rejected him, incurring my wrath, and after a quick exit-without-saving, the wedding was back on and Charlie and Marion tied the knot. The Grangers moved to House of Fallen Leaves, which was laggy and suckish. Belvina and Damion got old and the first of Generation D was born, a girl named Daisy, which caused Marion to go into failure. Ken died, which made Arianna miserable for a time. The family left House of Fallen Leaves for a house that was too small, but before they left baby Dennis was born. Then they moved to Granger Estate where Derek was born. Arianna died, which upset me and Daisy, who was very close to Ari. Daisy grew up, rolled Romance, and was immediately booted out to make room for more siblings. Marion had another baby, Dirk. Dennis rolled Popularity and moved to college. Slide 12: Chapter 10 was called “Attack of the Ten Kids Part Two.” In it, daughter of Candy and Kennedy, our former placeholders, Gemino, was born, as well as the remaining D kids. Derek rolled Family, Dolores and Druella were born, Davy and Dean were born, Dirk rolled Family, Damion died, Dolores and Druella rolled Knowledge, Marion became a PlantSim/vampire and then cured her vampirism, and the final two children, Demelza and Draco, were born. Dean rolled Romance and Davy rolled Knowledge. Demelza rolled Knowledge and Draco rolled Fortune, and finally all ten D kids moved to college in a house aptly named MiniHouse. The heir poll was had with all ten candidates. Also, Moo-Moo the Cowplant ate Araminta’s husband Komei, but they got remarried after Araminta resurrected him. Slide 13: The next update was the first interlude, “A Very Simself Halloween”. In it, SimJune and her short doppelganger-slash-daughter MiniJune celebrated Halloween in a very special way. And by special we mean weird. They dressed up and pulled a prank on Celestina, only for MiniJune to really get the last laugh. They also made a zombie maid out of the local Diva, originally Holly but renamed Zombia, and she was annoying. The interlude was a featured upload in the 08 Halloween Showcase. Slide 14: Chapter 11, “Dead!”, marked the first chapter with real plot, in my opinion anyway. The ten D kids headed off to college, only to find it wasn’t all kegs and mascots. Dirk was killed trying to repair a computer, and while the kids mourned the loss of their brother, they didn’t think much of it, save for the youngest, Draco. He was sure of foul play. His twin Demelza dismissed it as a freak accident. But as more deaths happened, Draco and Demelza concluded someone was out to get the siblings. The surviving D kids became more paranoid with every death, and trusted each other less and less, save for two pairs of twins, Dolores and Druella and Draco and Demelza. Dolores attempted to achieve order as Draco and Dem continued their investigation. But then Demelza was offed as well, which made Draco utterly miserable. He swore to work harder, but soon it was down to him, Dolores, Druella, and Daisy. But Daisy’s diary revealed her as the killer, and Daisy herself told Draco she yearned for attention, lost in nine other siblings, and killed him as well. Dolores made a deal with Daisy to keep quiet in exchange for her and Druella’s safety, which Daisy agreed to. Slide 15: The next update was the second interlude, “The Truth Comes Out.” In it, Aberforth finally came clean to his wife Marsha about Abbey. Marsha forgave him, Meadow was foiled and sent away forever, and Abbey was adopted by Abe and Marsha. Then Abbey, Expecto, Patronum, Avada, and Kedavra all grew up into teens, and that was that. I didn’t think it was a particularly good update, but it had to be done. Also, after the rather depressing “Dead!” I needed to write something that did not involve death and had a happy ending. Slide 16: The twelfth chapter was the creatively named “Dead! 2!” The three remaining D kids, Daisy, Dolores, and Druella, went to Sorority of Death. Dolores got a fiancée, the man-maid Remington, only for Daisy to steal him in typical Romance Sim fashion. Big mistake. Dolores decided to find a loophole to take the heirship from Daisy. And she found one; Section D, Subsection 10, Lines 1-8. This was supposed to be a joke. Section D for Generation D, Subsection 10 for the ten kids, Lines 1-8 because Daisy was the first D kid and Dolores was the eighth. I don’t think anyone got it. Daisy graduated, unaware of Dolores’s find. Slide 17: In Chapter 14, “Chaos”, Daisy returned home, married Goopy GilsCarbo, and they had a daughter named Emmeline, and Belvina died; all seemed to be normal. But Dolores came to Granger Estate and informed Daisy that technically, due to her loophole, Daisy could not be heiress. The loophole stated that no candidate for heir may harm any other candidate. But Dolores and Daisy made another deal; they would split the heirship, and Dolores promised she would have the last two children of the generation to seal the deal. Dolores married a man named Calvin, and they weren’t very happy, what with Dolores’s bossiness. Dolores had a daughter named Elladora. Then, Charlie was killed off for space in the house, and the newly widowed Marion swore she’d never like this grandchild who took Charlie from her. The family mourned the Gen C heir. Slide 18: Chapter 15, “Truth and Lies”, had some pretty big twists and such. The family was still mourning Charlie, Marion especially, and Daisy found she was pregnant again, but not with her husband’s child. Daisy told Dolores her baby’s father was Dolores’s husband Calvin, which infuriated Dolores and caused her to send Calvin packing, even though he insisted he never cheated on Dolores. Dolores told her daughter Elladora that Calvin, Daisy, and Daisy’s unborn child were their enemies now. Goopy caught Daisy cheating with one of her boyfriends from college, forming a rift between them. Emmeline and Elladora developed a loathe/hate relationship. Daisy had her baby, a little girl named Eileen, who looked neither like Daisy or Calvin. Daisy then revealed she had lied about Eileen’s parentage, saying Dolores had it coming for trying to upstage Daisy. No one in the house had any liking for Eileen except Emmeline, who had grown up and become a Grilled Cheese Sim. Elladora grew up as well and rolled Knowledge, and then rolled a want for the undead scholarship, so she was made into a zombie. Eileen grew up, rolled Family, and expressed her wish to be a spare. And with that the E girls went to college. Slide 19: The next update was the third interlude, “A Very Simself Christmas.” In it, SimJune and MiniJune had a Christmas celebration, sans Happy Holiday Stuff, but as SimJune put it, “it’s overpriced anyway.” SimJune tried to keep the Santa dream alive for her mini counterpart, and we all learned a cute lesson: Everyone deserves Christmas, even cynical and often rude mini-Simselves. Then they killed and rezzed Zombia for kicks, and she swore vengeance. SimJune then found out she was inexplicably pregnant, with no boyfriend or husband or any idea who the father could be, and Zombia refused to talk. The interlude ended with the mystery unsolved. Slide 20: Chapter 15 was “Cheesy College Chapter”, chronicling the E girls’ Uni years. Elladora was declared the winner of the heir poll. Dolores attempted to win Calvin back, but he had a whole new life with a new wife and daughter. Eileen began dating Berjes, one of her mother’s ex-flames, and they had three bolts and were sweet and adorable. Eileen searched for her father, found him, but he disregarded her as crazy. When Daisy found that Eileen was dating Berjes, she was furious and plotted to kill her. At that moment Daisy realized what a monster she had become, and wished she’d never killed her siblings, and finally realized why she was all alone and unloved. Out of the blue, Dolores comforted her sister, saying that all she ever wanted was an apology, and so Daisy reformed. At S o’ D, Baron and Sandy got engaged, Celestina graduated, Eileen and Berjes got engaged, and finally it was graduation day. Slide 21: Chapter 16 was entitled “Boolprop Babies”, and in it Elladora married a man named Alon. SimJune was invited to the wedding, being a friend of the bride, and when Elladora touched SimJune’s baby bump, she received a static shock. Alon was boolprop impregnated, for zombies cannot get pregnant but can get others pregnant. Daisy and Goopy got old and rekindled their relationship, and the first of Generation F, Fleur, was born, and it was awesome because she had recessive blonde hair, making her the first Granger to have a recessive hair. Across town SimJune gave birth to dark-haired twins named Andrew and Belladonna. SimJune believed the father was one of the spares killed in “Dead!”, Dean, but MiniJune doubted. She formed her own theory: that her new siblings were Reaper children. SimJune attempted to check her new children’s family trees, but her computer had a mishap with Belladonna in the room. Also, placeholders Carlotta and Merlin welcomed twin daughters, Wingardium and Leviosa. Slide 22: Chapter 17, “Yo Mama’s So Dead!”, remains the only chapter I never really got a good name for. It shames me. Anyway, in it the hyperactive middle child Felix was born, as well as the youngest, Fred. Fred lacked playful points and was not canon. This also shamed me. They and their older sister Fleur were quite cute, and Fred turned out to be a genetic clone of his mom. Fleur rolled Popularity and found a teddy bear, but she didn’t know who it belonged to. Fred saw a cute girl his age walk by and was immediately smitten. Marion moved out because she refused to die, and I developed a crush on Felix. <3! Alon was eaten by a Cowplant, rezzed as a zombie, and he and Elladora were set for eternity together. Tosha Go and I developed a loathe/hate relationship. Felix grew up, rolled Family, and was no longer hyper, and he and SimJune planned to wed when he was of legal age. Squee! Fleur started an incestful relationship with her distant relative Patronum. Finally Fred grew up and rolled Pleasure, and swore to find his mystery girl, who he still was madly in love with. Also, placeholder Celestina welcomed an ugly son, Glacius. Slide 23: The next update was the fourth interlude, “Double Trouble.” In it, Andrew and Belladonna grew up, and SimJune went out, leaving the children home alone. The twins revealed to MiniJune they were indeed Reaper children, and they had both powers of death and powers of Simselves. They had no nice points and wanted MiniJune to teach them about the boolprop cheat so they could take over Sahara Valley. MiniJune refused and pretty much foiled them. Upon SimJune’s return home, she learned the truth about her children and said if they tried to take over the Valley they would be grounded, so they cut it out. After this, my writing and ideas for Andrew and Belladonna changed drastically, and I didn’t realize how downright evil I had written them. They aren’t really evil, just mean and ambitious and trigger-happy. Also, they were little kids. All little kids want to be in charge, to say “Screw you, man” to their parents, and get to do whatever they want. But in the story I wrote they had powers, big huge awesome powers. They don’t; they were bluffing. I mean, all my kids have some Simself power to them, but nothing huge and reality-bending. Slide 24: Chapter 18 was called “Kisses and Misses”. Publishing this chapter was fraught with peril; the pictures were corrupted and I was forced to do a complete rewrite. It was my Valentine’s Day chapter, and thus had ample amounts of gooey sweetness. In it, the F kids went to college and Fred was named heir. He started working on his LTW: 50 First Dates, in the hope that among the 50, his mystery girl would be dropped. He wasn’t very enthusiastic, and most of the dates he had were utterly horrible. Felix and SimJune got together and it was not utterly horrible. <3! Fred ran into one of Dean’s exes, Brooke the slob girl, who spoke to him about faith in his search for mystery girl. Eileen and Berjes were still going strong, Fred got Permaplat but wasn’t happy because he was still mystery-girl-less. Fred also coined the Legacy’s unofficial catchphrase: “This is just crazy, crazy I tells ya!” Patronum and Fleur also got back together. Fred got extremely touchy about romance in general. S o’ D got a new pledge, a girl named Audrey with odd face paint. Fred got mad at her for commenting on his predicament, and an angry Fleur told Fred to get real and admit he’d never find mystery girl, causing Fred to lock himself in his room and refuse to come out. Audrey told Felix she was Fred’s mystery girl, but Felix didn’t entirely believe her and also thought Fred was in no right mental state. Audrey ignored him and revealed herself to Fred, explaining she thought he had gotten over her long ago, and all was right in the world. Emmeline and Eileen graduated, Fleur and Patronum got engaged, Fred and Audrey got engaged, and Felix and SimJune got engaged, and a stranger with gray eyes wished Fred good luck, saying he’d need it. Slide 25: Chapter 19, “Bear Necessities,” was one with which I struggled with titles for awhile. “Bear Necessities” was actually the fourth title I dreamed up. The other three were “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” “Achoo,” and “And So It Begins.” In it, Audrey moved in and Fred had a nightmare that was just a lot of ominous-sounding talking. Audrey found a teddy bear, assuming it had been Fleur’s, but Fred said she nor anyone in his memory had ever had a teddy bear. They got married the next day and Family Sim Audrey was soon pregnant, and predicted twins, or as she put it, “BAYBEEZ.” Goopy and Daisy died, much to my discontent, and Audrey did indeed have twins, Ginny and George, also to my discontent. Soon after Audrey had the final G kid, a little girl named Gabrielle. Not long after Audrey began acting a bit odd, saying the bear was warning her of bad tidings to come. Fred attempted to get rid of it, fearing for his wife’s sanity, but it inexplicably showed up in the nursery. Fred and Audrey fought, with Fred insisting Audrey was going crazy, but Dolores helped them patch things up, and then died. Ginny then fell terribly ill, with no explanation and no cure, and her brother and sister followed suit not long after. A stranger at MiniHouse decided now was the time to act, also holding a teddy bear. Slide 26: Chapter 20, “Flesh, Blood, and Bone”, was my briefest chapter as its namesake was in the Harry Potter books; this brief chapter was found in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In it, the gray-eyed stranger, aka the girl in green, of the past two chapters acquired a bone phone with cheats, alone at MiniHouse, and resurrected Draco Granger, the heroic spare killed back in Chapter 11. Slide 27: Chapter 21 was titled “Back From the Dead.” The girl in green told Draco how long he’d been dead, and how the Legacy had carried on; Draco was ready to hunt down Daisy and get revenge. The girl quickly assumed leadership, which peeved Draco, and didn’t tell him why she had rezzed him or what was going on, and merely told him to lay low and resurrect his twin sister Demelza. The latter he did so happily. The twins tried to figure out what was going on, how much time had passed, and what the girl in green needed them for. The three of them dropped out of school and met at the Sahara Valley Shelter, where the girl promised to explain everything. There, she identified herself as Astoria Greengrass, and she had rezzed the twins because of the sick G kids. Astoria suspected some unknown villain had infected the children, and she needed help to find out who. Astoria then informed them that almost everyone they knew was dead; much time had passed. Draco and Demelza mourned their lost family members, crying over their mother Marion’s grave at the shelter, where she had apparently died alone. Slide 28: Chapter 22 was called “Let’s Get Wilde,” and in it, Astoria, Draco, and Demelza decided to blend in with disguises and assumed names, continuing their investigation under cover for fear of being recognized. Demelza became Jenny Brown, and Astoria and Draco became her aunt and uncle, Ally and Jim, although Draco wanted to be called Stefano. Draco at first was awkward about pretending to be married to Astoria, but Demelza didn’t pry into why. They got some local gossip on Fred and the sick G kids, and went out that night to get more gossip. Draco made the reservation under the name “Stefano Wallpaper,” proving the art of subtlety is beyond his grasp. While at dinner, a zombie stranger joined them, and tried to place their faces; Draco and Demelza assured her they had never been to Sahara Valley before. Dem got into contact with Fred, and arranged for her entourage to check out the sick kids, and they did so. Dem later said she found something; the kids were sick with a nasty mutated strain of Wilde’s Virus, a synthetic virus made on a machine. The three figured that there were only three machines that made the virus in the Valley: they had one, as did the Grangers, so the owners of the third must be the one who infected the kids. Fred and Audrey were also growing increasingly desperate to help their children, fearing they would die. Slide 29: In Chapter 23, “Sacrifice,” our trio found the location of the third virus maker and decided to go. Draco volunteered to go in first, explaining he could never forgive himself if either one of the girls got hurt going first. Demelza accepted this, but Astoria worried. The trio hurried off, where Astoria worried some more and insisted Draco didn’t have to be noble; Draco retorted he’d seen too many people he loved killed to not be noble. Draco, growing impatient, turned to go in the house, and Astoria sent him off with a kiss, for Demelza to yell, “Ha! I KNEW it!” Draco went in the house, finding it to look like a nursery, and found the third virus maker and its owner: Sandy Wren, the zombie who had dined with the group not too long ago. Sandy revealed Draco’s and Demelza’s disguises, and told the story of her life. She was zombified by the Grangers long ago after being eaten by their Cowplant, and opened an orphanage; but was horrified to find her children would be made into townies. One of Sandy’s adoptees was Fred’s wife, Audrey, who was grown up for Fred immediately, and Sandy didn’t even get an invite to her daughter’s wedding. So she made the virus and gave it to the G kids in gelatin, believing the Legacy shouldn’t always get its way, and that she is only getting even for the Legacy ruining her life and taking her child. Sandy offered a piece of gelatin to Draco and Demelza, and went to mix up another batch of the virus. She was foiled by Astoria and an odd hat which converted evil into good, making Sandy happy with ten nice points. Demelza found the cure to the virus and relayed it to Fred, who used it to cure the G kids. Once back at the trio’s HQ, Draco locked himself in a room and revealed he had a piece of gelatin from the orphanage and was going to eat it to stop the virus to spread ever again. Astoria and Demelza begged him not to, but Draco’s nobleness won out. And after a minute, there was no sound within the room… Slide 30: Chapter 24 was “Save the Date,” where it appeared Draco had died, but in reality the gelatin he took wasn’t spiked with virus and all was well. Draco and Astoria got married, and after Draco found Demelza lost in memories, wondering if there was any way she could have stopped the murders by being nicer to Daisy. Draco explained to her what’s done is done, and it was time to move on. Draco and Astoria had a baby, a little girl named Scorpia. Then we toured Sahara Valley, for the many weddings of spares. Stupid Baron and his wife Sandy got married and had a blonde son named Flipendo, which made me mad because I couldn’t get blonde hair to stay in the Legacy. Emmeline and Adam got married and had a daughter named Brie who was basically a little Emme with chubbier cheeks and brown eyes. We then moved on to Eileen and Berjes, who wed and had six children who all have to get married to get them Permaplat; they both want to marry off six kids. Finally, Felix and SimJune got married, and SimJune found she inadvertently promised Felix 20 kids in “Kisses and Misses,” and she was sticking to it. Slide 31: Chapter 25 was entitled “Fearless, Optimist, Deceptionist,” each word describing Ginny, George, and Gabrielle, respectively. Audrey got Permaplat and Ginny was revealed to have no fears at all, or so she claimed. Gabi was a bit of a loner and a gifted artist. Audrey, as Captain Hero, often battled the most notorious mob around, run by the ever-changing Llama Goddess. Ginny and George became teens, with Ginny rolling Popularity and George rolling Fortune. Ginny got an awesome boyfriend, the local teen goth boy, named Rem. George got an awesome girlfriend, cashier Nicole Thompson. Gabi grew up and also rolled Fortune, wanting to become a Criminal Mastermind and head the Llama Goddess’s mob, therefore being her mother’s enemy. This caused her to become even more introverted. She got a job in the mob, secretly of course. Slide 32: Chapter 26 was “Lie To Me”, and the G kids were off to Uni. Gabi met a mysterious blind fortune teller, who warned her to keep an eye on Ginny. Gabi ignored her, and the G kids headed off to a party not long after; Gabi didn’t want to go, but Ginny and George convinced her otherwise. At the party, Ginny enjoyed the juice and Gabi and George headed home, assuming Ginny had left long ago. It turned out Ginny was egged on to keep guzzling the juice, resulting in her being dead drunk and getting engaged to the host, Frances J. Worthington. Ginny woke up the next day with no recollection of the previous night, and after she learned what had happened, she was horrified, for Rem was coming to LFT the next week. Ginny asked Frances to call off the engagement, but Frances, determined to finally leave LFT, wouldn’t let her go. Ginny explained what happened to her siblings and finally admitted to be afraid. Gabi was guilty she ignored the fortune teller and didn’t stick close to Ginny. Gabi snuck out to visit the Llama Goddess and told her of Ginny’s predicament, without revealing names, as is the practice in the mob. The Llama Goddess said to give Gabi good advice on the problem, they had to be friends and reveal their names; she took the first step and revealed herself as Abbey Thayer. Slide 33: Chapter 27 was called, “Seen and Unforseen.” I later realized I misspelled “unforseen”. There’s supposed to be an “e” in between the “f” and the “s”. I was debating that “e”, actually, and I failed. I’m sorry. Abbey went to MiniHouse with Gabi, and told her life’s story, including how she got tangled up in the mob. Abbey, determined to go to college and prove to her father, Aberforth, she was mature and responsible, joined the mob to prove her point. Gabi told of her predicament, including her lying to her family about being in the mob, and of Ginny’s, and Abbey came up with “Plan A,” which she guaranteed would work. Gabi relayed the plan to her siblings, and they had a week to prepare for Rem and Nicole’s arrival. Rem was delayed a day, but Nicole came on schedule, and was in on Plan A. The next night Rem arrived; Ginny nervously explained to him what had happened, and he was quite upset. Ginny begged him to trust her, and when she kissed him, he kissed her back. At that moment, Nicole arranged for Frances to spot Rem and Ginny together, and Frances’s automatic reaction of “OMG you’re cheating on me!” allowed Ginny to break up with him. Rem forgave her and all was well. I then got Open for Business and Gabi started working on her flower arranging badge. SimJune was revealed to be pregnant with her and Felix’s first child. Gabi met a man named Almeric and they fell in love. Abbey came to LFT and was upset over Gabi having a boyfriend, for she plotted for her brother Expecto to marry Gabi, wanting Gabi to be her sister and yearning for closeness. Gabi and her siblings moved to S o’ D, and Gabi ran into the fortune teller again, who gave her a frightening prophecy about the three children she would have in the future. Gabi said she wouldn’t let the prophecy come true and graduated angrily. Slide 34: Chapter 28 was “Et Tu, Abbey?” and the title is awesomely clever only if you’ve read Julius Caesar and are flexible with rhyming/pronunciation. Gabi took over as heiress and the house got a total make-over. Gabi married Almeric and at the wedding, Abbey tried to see if Gabi and Almeric had any flaws in their relationship; she found none, much to her discontent. Gabi told her parents and Almeric of her LTW, and they accepted it. Meanwhile, Abbey and Expecto plotted to tear Gabi and Almeric apart by getting Almeric to cheat on her so Expecto could waltz in and give her a shoulder to cry on. It didn’t work; Almeric refused to cheat on Gabi. Gabi told Almeric of the prophecy; he told her not to worry, but Gabi still fretted. Gabi decided to raise her kids and send a proxy to represent her in the mob; she chose Abbey. Abbey decided to use her position to get rid of Almeric, but SimJune quickly warned Gabi. Gabi found herself pregnant soon after, and gave Abbey a few choice words. Abbey then explained she only wanted to be close to Gabi, and didn’t realize how greatly Gabi valued their friendship. Gabi realized Almeric had a brother, Aldric, who Abbey actually already had a crush on, and they could still be sisters, and Abbey dropped her plan to marry Gabi to Expecto and get rid of Almeric. Slide 35: Chapter 29 was entitled “Mommie Dearest,” taken in sarcasm referring to Gabi. Fred and Audrey got old and Gabi had her first child, a son named Harry. The family got a business, Granger General Goods, and Gabi began her mission to stop the children three prophecy by constantly talking to Harry about heir polls and such, so he wouldn’t grow up thinking being named after Harry Potter automatically made him heir. Gabi then had a daughter she named Hermione. Almeric went Permaplat, joining Gabi, Audrey, and Fred. Gabi wanted Hermione to be smart like her namesake, but the little girl proved herself no scholar and insisted she be called “Mimi.” Gabi had her final child, another daughter named Helena. Gabi babied Helena, to the little girl’s discontent, driving her deep into her antisocial shell. Gabi pushed Mimi to academic achievement when it was obvious she was not suited to it. Mimi was rather a charismatic social butterfly. Gabi got an idea for the store to grow and invited one of their loyal customers, a man named Sebastian Philtre, over for dinner. Almeric was none too happy about this, as the customer was a Romance Sim and Almeric was seeing something that wasn’t there at all. Almeric told Harry and Mimi Romance Sims were not to be trusted; Mimi didn’t really buy it, but Harry shared his father’s view strongly. Helena and Mimi became very close, and Helena began playing in a vampire’s coffin someone wanted Gabi to sell at the store. The chapter ended with Gabi’s dinner guest about to arrive. Slide 36: Chapter 30 was the vaguely titled “Dinners and Teenagers,” originally “Dinner and a Show,” but that referred to only one scene and the rest of it was other stuff. So yeah. In it, the Grangers had their dinner party, sans dinner in typical disaster. Helena befriended their guest, Sebastian Philtre, showing him the vampire coffin and happy he appreciated it. The guest amicably told the family to call him Seb, his nickname. Almeric treated the visitor with frosty formality. The dinner went relatively well, but Almeric’s opinion on Seb did not change. Harry grew up and rolled Family, and Gabi got the kids into private school. Mimi grew up and rolled Pleasure, and Helena found she had a knack for music, particularly singing. Mimi found a new hobby: hair styling, much to Gabi’s displeasure. Seb came over the house and played catch with Helena, who defused a confrontation between her friend and her father. Harry met a girl who was both mean and a Romance Sim, but he insisted he didn’t like her while everyone else pretty much knew he did. Mimi gave Helena new hairstyle, and then grew up and rolled Knowledge. Mimi took Harry and Helena downtown to find Helena a boyfriend to up her confidence. While there, Helena became a vampire, but found no boys. Back home, Helena dialed up the matchmaker. Slide 37: The next update was the fifth interlude, “Moving Day.” It caught us up with the Simself family. They moved to a new house, 7 Chorus Court, and the girl Harry may/may not like was revealed to be SimJune’s Reaper child daughter, Belladonna, or Bella for short. The Reaper twins grew up and both rolled Romance. How…fun. Felix had problems keeping plot secrets, much to SimJune’s displeasure. SimJune got pregnant and locked up her annoying zombie maid, Zombia. SimJune decided to get a job after having her baby, being a Fortune Sim. Andrew and Bella plotted to haze Felix while their mother was away. SimJune had a cute daughter named Viola, got a job, and started working to make a Servo to replace Zombia. Mimi kept showing up when Andrew was home, but he was not allowed to so much as speak to her, for SimJune knew his game. The kids’ hazing of Felix did not work. SimJune and Felix plotted to marry off Bella and Harry. SimJune finished making her Servo and named him Beta, then killed Zombia. Beta fit right in the family and everyone was rather obsessed with befriending him. Slide 38: Chapter 31 was “I’m Not Okay, I Promise.” Helena got a boyfriend named Garrett, cured her vampirism, and crawled out of her shell. Helena happily went off to the One-Twenty-Five Café to celebrate her and Garrett’s one-week anniversary. But there, she found him with another girl. Garrett revealed he never really cared for Helena, but was going to use her to worm his way into the Legacy, but couldn’t because he found her too weird. They broke up, and Helena was heartbroken and angry, yearning for someone to care for her. She locked herself in a room that obviously hadn’t been used in awhile, refusing to talk to anyone, not even Mimi. After awhile, Harry and Mimi forced it out of her. Mimi tried to comfort her, but Helena insisted she’d never be loved and always be alone. Mimi, desperate, called Seb over to see if he could talk sense into Helena. And he did. At that time, Helena fell in love with Seb, having known him for awhile and thinking of him as sweet and trustworthy. Harry was none too happy to hear this, insisting Seb would only break Helena’s heart as Garrett had. Helena refused to believe him. This was also the last chapter I posted on the Exchange; not long after, it started its Epic Fail. Boo! Slide 39: Chapter 32 was “It Ain’t Exactly What You Planned,” the first PowerPoint chapter of Hermione’s ABCs. It focused more on Harry and Mimi while “I’m Not Okay, I Promise” had focused on Helena. Mimi got an idea to open up a small salon at the family business; Gabi did not ask for the nature of Mimi’s request for space in the store and approved it. They headed off to Granger General Goods, with Harry working the registers. After awhile, Gabi discovered what Mimi was up to and was furious. She sent Mimi away from her salon to the registers with Harry. There, Harry admitted he liked Bella, and Mimi convinced him to invite her over and talk to her. Bella gave him a chance, being a Romance Sim, and they became a couple. Harry was completely in love, but Bella thought to herself that she would never commit to him. The business hit Level 10 and the Grangers went home. Also, placeholders Fleur and Patronum had stupid twins, Reparo and Reducto. At her house, Bella received a little bouquet of flowers from Harry, and while at first she dismissed it, she did indeed appreciate the cute little gift. Slide 40: Chapter 33, “Break My Heart,” was the first of three Uni chapters for the H kids. In it, a very happy Helena told Seb she loved him, but he rejected her, causing her to spiral into a deep depression. At his house, Seb was haunted by images of Helena, and revealed he did indeed love her, but feared he would hurt her and not trusting himself enough to stay faithful to her. Seb realized his mistake and ran back to MiniHouse. There, an utterly desolate Helena was sitting on the balcony. Mimi tried to comfort her in vain, and Helena tried to end her life by jumping off the balcony. Mimi and Harry held her off until Seb arrived, at which point Helena leaned too far over the balcony railing, causing it to break. Seb caught and saved her, but she was angry at him for causing her so much pain and essentially told him to GFTO. But she still loved him under her anger. Seb convinced her to sing with him on the karaoke machine, as they had when Helena was younger. Helena picked “I Don’t Love You” to sing, and forgave Seb during it. Seb told her the truth and Helena said that if she trusted him, he could trust himself, and the couple got engaged and everything was awesome again. Slide 41: The next chapter was Chapter 34, “It’s a Love Story, Baby, Just Say Yes.” In it, Harry found Bella had come to LFT and they reconnected. Being with Bella again set Harry on cloud nine, while his sisters covered up their doubt that the relationship would last. Meanwhile, Bella revealed she intended to let Harry move on, and she wasn’t going to marry him or anyone else, but she was going to get something out of the relationship. Bella , displaying how she had Harry wrapped around her finger, talked him into bed, and Harry felt extremely guilty about it later. He went to SimJune, with the intend of asking for Bella’s hand in marriage. SimJune gave her blessing, and Harry was set to propose the next night. While Bella had planned to refuse the proposal, she found she couldn’t and said yes, much to everyone’s surprise. Mimi also got a boyfriend named Simon. Harry found Bella was not entirely faithful, but Bella once again got away with it. Helena was furious that Bella would do such a thing, and went so far as to call her brother’s fiancée a whore, which made Harry upset, in addition to already being upset about Bella’s infidelity. Helena comforted him, explaining someday Bella would appreciate him. The next day, Harry told Mimi and Helena he had invited over their parents, to which Mimi expressed trepidation for some reason. Slide 42: The next update was the sixth interlude, “Draco and Demelza’s Amazing Adventure!” In it, we caught up with our heroic gumshoe spares, Draco and Demelza, and their family. Dem got abducted by aliens twice with boolprop, but wanted more: she rolled up the want to get abducted five times. But two boolprop abductions got Dem pregnant with an alien baby, not that she minded too much. Dem gave birth to a little boy named Pollux, and assumed her role as a mother very well. Pollux grew up and he was truly not of this world, with a super-freak personality of 10/9/10/0/0. Scorpia, Draco and Astoria’s daughter, grew up and rolled Popularity. Pollux grew up totally neat, very active, completely outgoing, dead serious, and mean as hell, and that was where we left the family. Slide 43: Chapter 35 was the Grande Finale of college, “The Emancipation of Mimi.” Obvious title is obvious. In it, Mimi revealed she had been lying to Gabi and Almeric, saying she had become smart as Gabi always wanted her to be. Mimi just wanted her mother to be proud of her for once in her life. At first upset over Mimi’s lies, Helena and Harry helped Mimi pretend to be smart, with a new wardrobe and all. Mimi’s boyfriend Simon did not approve of Mimi’s charade, and was angry with her for lying, which made Mimi very sad. Gabi and Almeric arrived one night, and Mimi, not suited to lying, confessed everything and asked her mother for forgiveness. Gabi refused, furious at Mimi and yelling at her so to make her cry. Harry comforted her as Helena called Gabi the most horrid mother ever, and Gabi was shocked to learn the prophecy about the kids had, in fact, come true, after all she had done. The creepy fortune teller returned and showed Gabi that it was only because of the things she did to prevent the prophecy from coming true made it come true. Gabi realized the error of her ways and apologized to Mimi. Mimi got back together with Simon and they eventually got engaged, and the H kids moved into S o’ D. There, Harry too received a cryptic prophecy from the fortune teller, one that even she did not understand. The kids graduated and awaited the results of the heir poll. Also, George and Nicole got married and had a son named Alchem. Slide 44: The Future? What’s next for Hermione’s ABCs? Well, my newly elected heiress is Helena. I got Mimi married off and she had the unofficial first kid of Generation I, a little boy named Knox. I’m looking forward to having the main-line kids! In the future is a lot of Harry/Bella stuff; they actually get the chapter after next to themselves. I think. Mostly. Also, farther in the future, much father, I have something special planned. I will say only this: you will not expect it. Ever. Never ever in a million billion years. The plot will sneak up behind you and attack you with a point-ed stick or perhaps a banana and you will never see it coming and there will be no way to prepare for it. Anyway, on things you maybe possibly could prepare for. Harry/Bella and such. Also Harry’s prophecy, which people have been guessing about but no one’s quite gotten it yet. I loves me theories, as I always say, and I’m looking forward to Seblena babies! Next, we have everyone born ever, plus pictures. A handy guide to main line, spare’s kids, and other assorted weirdos.
