Welcome to Chapter 34, which is a lot angstier than I originally planned. But I’m happy with how things turned out! This chapter is definitely a comment-as-you-go chapter. I’d really like to see everyone’s thoughts as they follow the twists and turns of this chapter. So pretty please comment-as-you-go? You can be my friend! Secondly, this chapter is very long. Not exaggerating in the least. I believe it’s 141 slides of pictures, not counting the cover and this page. So sit back, relax, and read, cause you’re not going anywhere for awhile. The Exchange is, obviously, still borked. But now I don’t think I’d go back! Well, what are you doing reading my random meandering?! Click the little arrow and READ, MAN, READ! Comment as ya go, remember! ~June Slide 3: Hi, and welcome back to Hermione’s ABCs! In our last chapter, “Break My Heart”, our resident emo girl Helena confessed her true feelings to family friend and Romancer Seb Philtre. Then a lot of crazy nonsense involving hallucinations and balconies happened. Then Seb said he really did love Helena, but feared he’d hurt her and thus rejected her. But everything ended up okay in the end, as is typical, mostly, and now Helena and Seb are engaged. Yayy! *confetti* So that was Uni Part 1, The Helena Show. This time around it’s Harry! Slide 4: So at MiniHouse there was simul-learning. I never really tell you guys what majors my Legacy kids are, do I? So this gen I shall! Harry is a Psychology major like Grandpa Fred, Mimi is a Philosophy major like countless others before her, and Helena is an Art major like Rem, one of our awesome placeholders along with Abbey Thayer. Abbey’s an Economics major like her daddy Aberforth was, because they have the same LTW. So does Seb. All three want to top the Music career, so no messing around going on here. Slide 5: Hi, cheerleader with high Creativity who I like. “Hey.” Yeah, don’t like you enough to remember your name all the time. I think it’s…Rebecka? I’m pretty sure your last name is “Fuchs.” *snicker* “Like I haven’t been ridiculed for that before!” Touché. And meanwhile, lovers meet up again. Slide 6: “Hey, Rem!” “Hi, Ginny. Woah, is this the house?” “Yup. Nice, isn’t it?” The only reason why these two aren’t engaged is to sidestep the engaged-in-college-so-you-can’t-move-in glitch. Slide 7: “So, this is the arch? Where we’re gonna get married?” Rem asked happily. “Yeah. I was thinking something quiet. Nothing fancy. Is that okay?” “It’s fine,” he smiled. She looked at him shyly. “Uh, you wanna see my dress? I know it’s bad luck and stuff, but…” He cut her off. “Sure.” Slide 8: “Wow. You look…amazing.” “Really? You like it? I’ll do something with my hair, of course, but…” “It wouldn’t matter.” Slide 9: They’re a very sweet couple. Two bolts like mostly everyone else. I like two bolts more than three, they’re not all stalkerish. :D Slide 10: “Uh…Rem…you’re okay with having kids, right?” “Yeah. Why?” “Oh, no reason…” “Liar,” Rem joked. She blushed and laughed nervously. “Well, because I already set up a room…” Slide 11: The next day. “Hey, I haven’t seen you before. You new?” “Yup. Just got here with my sister. The name’s Andrew.” “Hi. I’m Rem.” Slide 12: “Listen, you know anyone named Harry Granger?” “Yeah, him and his sisters are my roommates. Good kids. Why?” Slide 13: “Oh, my sister Belladonna dated him.” “Really? I don’t think he’s ever mentioned her to me.” “Good. I mean, erm, okay, I’ll let her know.” Slide 14: “I’ll ask Harry about her. What’d you say her name was?” “Belladonna. But he’d call her as Bella.” “Okay. Hey, nice to meet ya.” “Nice to meet you, too.” Slide 15: “Hey, Harry, I met this guy Andrew today. Said he had a sister you used to know…Bella?” “Really?! She’s here? Bella’s here?” “Yeah, he said he was living with her. I guess you know her?” “Know her? I love her! I…wow…I wasn’t sure if she was coming…this is great news.” Slide 16: “Well, Andrew said you two were an item. Why wouldn’t she come?” “Bella’s a Romance Sim--” “And she knows your game?” Rem laughed. Slide 17: Harry ignored this. “Did Andrew leave a phone number or an address?” “No, but she’s in the student directory. Just call campus and they’ll connect you.” Slide 18: “Thanks, Rem, this is such great news,” Harry said excitedly. Slide 19: *ring ring* “Hello?” Her familiar voice crackled over the line. “Bella? Is that you?” “Harry?!” “Yes, it’s me!” Slide 20: “How’d you know I came?” Bella asked. “My roommate ran into your brother. Listen, I’m so glad you’re here!” “Um, yeah, it’s great to be here.” Slide 21: “You wanna come over? I live in the little yellow house on the dead end.” “Uh, sure, I’ll be over in a minute.” Slide 22: When Bella arrived, Harry greeted her and took her hand. Slide 23: He kissed it with huge bravado. She giggled and her smile lit up her face. Slide 24: “I missed you so much!” Harry gushed, unable to contain his excitement. “I missed you, too,” Bella grinned. “Where are you living? Dorm?” “No, my mom gave Andrew and me enough for a little house. We’re doing good.” “How’re your classes?” “Oh, we just got here. Haven’t been yet.” Slide 25: He held her in his arms, still shy. Still awkward. And weird. Slide 26: But he was still sweet. Bella couldn’t help but smile. Slide 27: “Listen, I have to get back. I told Andrew I wouldn’t be gone long.” Bella said. “Okay. I’ll call you. Tell me what’s going on,” Harry said eagerly, kissing her good-bye. Slide 28: Harry went back in the house as though he was floating on cloud nine. “What’s got you so happy?” Helena asked. “Bella,” he replied simply. Slide 29: He, Mimi, and Helena sat at the dining room table. “Aw, look at you, you’re like glowing! Are you using new soap?” Mimi asked. “No, Mimi, I’m in love,” Harry sighed. “Know how you feel, bro. Like you’re on top of the world,” Helena said, her eyes dreamy. “Like you’re floating.” “Like nothing can ever go wrong ever again.” Slide 30: Snapping our of her reverie, Helena said, “I’m really happy for you. I think you’re just what she needs.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Nothing,” Helena said quickly. Slide 31: “Mimi told me how cute you two are. She says you’re always shy around her.” “Well, yeah. I’m never really sure what to do. I just want to keep her happy.” “Aww!” Mimi and Helena chorused. Slide 32: “I think she likes you, too. Romance Sims can surprise you. Some are just romantics, not whores. And they’re really good kissers,” Helena said with a laugh. “Yeah.” “I wanna be in love!” Mimi whined. Slide 33: Meanwhile… “What then hell’s the matter with you?” Bella hissed at her brother. “What?” Andrew asked innocently. “Don’t play dumb! You told Harry’s roomie we were here. He invited me over and practically took me ring-shopping!” Bella said indignantly. Slide 34: “My, Bella, what a little pickle you’ve gotten yourself into.” Andrew said mildly. “Andrew, I’m not gonna marry him! I’m not going to marry anyone, for that matter. He never had to know I was here. He could have moved on.” “Without you getting a woohoo out of the deal?” Andrew snorted. Slide 35: “Hey, we don’t choose our LTWs. I need 20 and he’ll be easy.” Bella said. “Pfft. Not without marrying you first. You know his type.” “I’m very convincing,” Bella said, fluttering her eyelashes. Slide 36: “I’ll let him down easy. He’ll find someone else. All done. I win.” “Alright, then.” “I’ll get it over with tonight. I’ll give him plenty of time to move on. I’m being fair.” “Are you telling me that, or are you telling yourself?” “Shut up, Andrew.” Slide 37: “Hi, new best friend Mimi!” *looks at want panel* ¾ of this is unspeakable Mimi-related spam. It isn’t happening. I don’t care if you keep that “Fall in Love with Mimi” want there forever. “Aww!” You’re in a BC!* “In an alternate dimension!” *Andrew’s Unpossible BC, check it out! Slide 38: Bella declared the Drama major for exactly this reason: Professor Pervypants. *pout* It gives us thespians a bad name. “Say, Prof, I need some tutoring.” “Tutoring or ‘tutoring’?” “The latter, of course.” Slide 39: That night, Harry was surprised to receive a visit from Bella. “Hi! Uh, not that I’m not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?” Harry asked. “Can’t a girl visit her sweet little Legacy boy?” Bella said with a grin, making his heart flutter. Slide 40: She kissed him fiercely, a glimmer in her eye. Harry wasn’t exactly sure what she was up to, but he kinda liked it. Slide 41: “Follow me,” she laughed. And he did. Slide 43: Bella was saying something, and the whole world seemed to be moving impossibly fast. Most of him, being good and possessing moral fiber, wanted to say “No” or “Wait” or something. But another part of him, tired of being good and reliable all the time, said “Yes.” Slide 44: In his mind he fought to justify himself. I love her and she loves me, and this is what people in love do, right? Slide 45: “Harry?” came Bella’s voice, a quiet whisper. “Can I stay over?” “Hmm? Sure, you can stay,” he said. “Thanks.” “My pleasure,” he said, but she was asleep again. Slide 46: I probably shouldn’t have done that, he thought, Good Harry taking over again. Bella curled up next to him, and he couldn’t help but smile. Slide 47: He closed his eyes and tried to sleep. He’d worry about this in the morning. Slide 48: And worry he did. “I can’t believe I did that. I feel awful.” Harry said to Helena. “Oh, Harry, lighten up.” Helena said, trying to calm him. “It’s not like…like you stole anything.” Mimi chimed in unhelpfully, “Well, he sort of--” “Quiet!” “Mimi’s right, Helena, I’m a terrible person!” Harry said. “He probably didn’t anyway,” Mimi said. “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Nothing,” Mimi and Helena answered immediately. Slide 49: “Harry, just relax. Plenty of people woohoo before they get married,” Helena said. “Oh, really? What about you?” Harry asked accusingly. Helena blushed furiously. “Quite frankly it’s none of your business. But no.” “Anyone else in the Legacy? Ever? Who actually ended up married?” Helena began counting on her fingers. “Uh, Great-great-great-grandpa Charlie and great-great-great-grandma Marion,” she admitted quietly. Slide 50: “See what I mean? I’m a disgrace! And I’m a Family Sim, I’m supposed to have moral fiber!” “Well, she doesn’t.” Helena muttered. “What?” “Bella needs more fiber,” Mimi said. Helena kicked her. “Um, in her diet?” Mimi added, her eyes watering. “I have to make things right,” Harry said determinedly. Slide 51: “What do you mean?” Helena asked. “I have to marry her, of course.” “Wasn’t that in the Harry Granger Master Plan already?” Helena teased. “No. Maybe. Yes.” Slide 52: “I know you usually ask a girl’s father for her hand in marriage--” “Bella’s father is the Grim Reaper. Somehow I doubt you can set up an appointment with him,” Helena pointed out. “Then I’ll go to her mother. Wish me luck!” Slide 53: And he left. Helena sighed and said, “When did this become the 1600s?” “Um, last Tuesday?” Mimi guessed. “That was a rhetorical question.” “You should really start pointing that out.” Slide 54: Harry made his way to 7 Chorus Court, home of Bella’s family. He was worried out of his mind. Slide 55: “Ohh, this will not end well. I’d rather set up an appointment with the Reaper than my all-powerful Creator who can smite me in the blink of an eye! She’s gonna be so mad. I’m going to get smited, I know it!”he moaned to himself. Slide 56: “Well, hiya there, Harry! What’re you doing here? I mean, you’re welcome here and all, but it’s rather late. I sent Viola to bed a while ago, so we gotta be quiet.” “Uh…um…Mrs. Granger…” “Since when do you call me ‘Mrs. Granger?’” “I…um…well…” Slide 57: “So, why’d ya stop by?” “Well, I need to…uh…talk to you…” Harry’s voice faded out. “Talk to me? Okay. How’s Uni? Hateable? It’s a necessary evil, Harry. How’re Mimi and Helena? Bella headed to LFT a couple days ago, have you two been hanging out?” Harry’s mouth went dry. He tried to talk but nothing but a tiny, strangled noise came out. Slide 58: “Um, Harry, are you okay?” “I…no.” “Alright. Why don’t you come inside.” “I…well…okay.” Harry followed his Creator into the house. I am never coming out of this house. I am going to be smited in this house, he thought nervously. Slide 59: “So, Harry, what’s going on? You sound so nervous? Rob a bank?” June joked. He didn’t laugh. “No.” “Alright, that’s always good.” Slide 60: “You said you’re not okay…what’s up?” “I…I…Bella…um…” And nothing coherent after that. Slide 61: “Come on, Harry, just spit it out. Is anyone dead?” “No.” “Okay, that’s good, such things have been known to happen at Uni. Is anyone hurt?” “No.” Slide 62: “You said something about Bella.” Harry’s stomach dropped. “Are you sure no one got hurt? Her?” “No.” “You? In any way? Verbally, emotionally…” “What?” Harry asked, startled. “Nothing,” she said quickly. “Why does everyone keep saying that?” Slide 63: “Never you mind. Just tell me!” “Well…I want to ask Bella to marry me,” Harry said, switching topics. “Aww, you’re so cute! Everyone knows it’d happen.” “Really?” “Yup. So why’d you come here? To ask permission?” She laughed. “No, of course not,” Harry said nervously. Slide 64: “But you seemed really, like, upset and nervous. Is there anything else going on?” “Something else. Bella and I…did something…I-I’m not exactly proud of…” She eyed him critically for a moment, and he couldn’t meet her eyes. After a few minutes of silence, and then said, “Ohhh…” Slide 65: “I think I know.” “Really?” he asked in a tiny voice. I’m going to get so smited. “Yes. But…oh, how do I say this to someone like you? Uh, let’s think…birds and bees?” “Bees?! I’m allergic!” “Okay, something else then. Hide the sock?” “Why’d I do that? Then I wouldn’t have any matching ones.” She sighed wearily. “Uh, under-the-covers Jenga?” “Ooh, that sounds fun. Teach me!” Harry said innocently. “NO. It doesn’t actually involve Jenga, Harry. It is not a game we can play. Erm…gads, your father should have taught you all this terminology, Harry, I gotta remember to punish Almeric for that. Uh…is it something usually reserved for married people?” Slide 66: “YES! Augh, yes, that, I’m so ashamed and I’m sorry and I should know better, please don’t smite me!” Harry said in an explosion of regret. “Woah, Harry, calm down!” “How can I calm down when you’re going to smite me for messing around with your daughter?!” Harry wailed. “Dude, chill, I’m not going to smite you!” Slide 67: “Yes you are! Heck, I’D smite me!” “Harry. It’s okay. Relax. I promise I won’t ever smite you.” “P-promise?” he asked, not daring to look up. “I promise.” Slide 68: “Harry, I’m not mad. My daughter can make her own decisions. And I’m glad you’re there for her. All I have to say is, good luck with the proposal.” Slide 69: “I can’t wait till you’re my son-in-law, Harry. Squee!” “Really? That’s so nice.” “I’m sure your eleventy billion future siblings-in-law will like you, too. “Ooh, big family reunions YAY!” Slide 70: “You’re welcome here anytime. Extend the invite to Helena and Mimi.” “Thanks for everything. But especially for not smiting me.” Slide 71: “Felix, guess what! Harry’s gonna ask Bella to marry him as per our Master Plan from “Moving Day” everyone’s already forgot about!” “Really?! Yay expanding family!” “You and Harry will get along great.” “Is this what we’re wearing to the wedding?” “Yup. You look smart.” “You look like you got extensions.” “Shut up. This is so great! Bella will say yes, how could she not, Harry’s a great kid.” “Yeah! What could go wrong?” Slide 72: “So, Harry, how’d it go?” Helena asked when Harry returned. “Okay. I’m…I’m gonna ask her tomorrow,” he said excitedly. “Really?! That’s…uh…great!” “Yeah, I know.” Slide 73: “Me and Mimi will clear out so you can have your moment,” Helena promised. “Thanks.” Slide 74: “No problem, bro. Good luck.” Slide 75: “Break a leg, Harry!” Mimi, who had been listening, said. “Uh, that’s only for when you’re in theater.” “Whatever, it means good luck.” And saying “good luck” again would have been redundant. Slide 76: Feeling very upbeat, Harry switched on his mp2, tuned to the radio. “Hmm, what’s this? Some song called Love Story, sounds sweet.” Slide 77: We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes and the flashback starts. I’m standing there, wondering why you were here. Slide 78: Little did I know, That I’d be Romeo and I’d be tossing pebbles. Everybody said, “Stay away from Juliet.” You’re everything to me, I never want you to go. Slide 79: Marry me, Juliet, you’ll never have to be alone. I love you and that’s all I really know. It’s a love story, baby, just say Yes. Slide 80: The next night, the house was all but deserted. “So, what’s up, Harry?” Bella asked. He said nothing, but smiled. They went inside. Slide 81: They sat at the table. Oh, no. No no no. It’s tonight. I can feel it. He’s gonna ask me tonight, Bella thought nervously. He was still smiling at her. She couldn’t meet his gaze. Slide 82: “So, how’re your classes?” Harry asked casually. “Oh. Fine. You know. Same old same old. What about you? You’re studying Psychology, right?” “Yeah. It’s pretty cool. I find the psychology of children especially interesting. They’re so easily influenced, they subconsciously pick up their parents’ habits and ideas.” Slide 83: Bella’s eyes widened at “children”. “Oh. Um. Yeah. I guess so.” Silence fell, both of them consumed by nervous energy. Slide 84: Harry cleared his throat. Here it comes, Bella thought. “Bella, we…we’ve known each other a long time now. I think you’re the loveliest girl I’ve ever met.” Slide 85: “And…well…I can’t imagine life without you,” he said, pulling out something from his pocket. Slide 86: “So…um…will…will you marry me, Belladonna?” he said, pushing the tiny box towards her. Slide 87: And there it sat. Just say no. Just say no. It’s an easy word. N-O. Bella told herself. And she imagined what would happen after that “no” slid off her tongue. Slide 88: She’d slowly push the box back to him and shake her head. He might laugh a bit, thinking it was a joke. Very funny, Bella. Slide 89: His face would fall as he slowly realized. He’d be shocked, silly little Family Sim, he might plead. Slide 90: But she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable because she’d already gotten what she wanted. And she’d say, “I’m sorry, Harry, but I’m just not the marrying type,” a hint of a tease in her voice. Slide 91: And he wouldn’t be mad, just miserable. He’d say things about broken promises, how could you, I thought we had something real. And she’d shake her head slowly, unable to keep herself from laughing in his face and calling him a fool. Slide 92: And she’d leave forever, and someday he’d move on. But, said a little voice in her head, what if he doesn’t move on? What if he wants you forever, and no one else? Don’t be silly. Of course he’ll move on, Bella told the voice. Don’t say things like that. Of course he will! You mean so, so much to him, Belladonna, the voice taunted her, and you know it. Slide 93: She snapped back to reality, and Bella met his eyes. He was all anticipation and anxiety, hoping she’d say yes. Hoping, wishing, praying that she’d be his forever. She’d always thought he had eyes like a little puppy. Big and brown. The no was there, somewhere, but it wasn’t strong enough. Slide 94: And Bella heard herself say, “Yes.” Slide 95: She was hearing herself talk like she was eavesdropping and not saying it. “Oh, Harry, it’s lovely. Yes, I will marry you!” Stop! Stop! commanded the “no” still in there somewhere. Shut up, shut up, shut up, said the voice in her head that said yes. Slide 96: “Really?! You mean it?” Harry said excitedly. “Yes.” Slide 97: “Oh, Bella, this is the happiest day of my life. Well, until the wedding,” he said sweetly. Wedding. The word registered dully in Bella’s mind. Slide 98: “I have to go home,” she said dazedly. “Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Slide 99: “YES!” Harry yelled happily. Slide 100: “NOOOOO!” Bella screamed. Slide 101: A little while later, Helena and Mimi came home. “Well? What’d she say?” Helena asked anxiously. “She said yes.” “Really?!” “Really!” Slide 102: “YAY!” Mimi cried, and she started to dance. “Oh, wow, Harry, this is great news! I mean…wow…I never…Mimi, what are you doing?” Slide 103: Mimi continued her victory dance. “Congrats, Harry, this is…incredible news!” Helena said with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Thanks. I couldn’t believe it either. So what’d you and Mimi do?” Helena smiled mischievously. “Well, Mimi has a boooooyfriend!” “I do not!” Mimi said. “Okay, then. Harry, what do you call a boy who tells a girl she’s pretty and says he’ll call her and talks to her for hours?” Helena said, looking at Mimi. “Um, a boyfriend?” Harry grinned, playing along. “HA! See? Harry wasn’t even there and he knows!” Helena said triumphantly, turning to her sister. She faced Harry again. Slide 104: “We went to that cute little Wasteland Longue on campus. It was packed. So we talked and danced and played some of the instruments they have.” Slide 105: “And that’s where Mimi met Simon,” Helena said. “Shut up!” Mimi said, but she was smiling. “He said I looked pretty, and we started talking. Simon said he was an artist, but his parents didn’t approve. They wanted him to be a lawyer. So I told him about Mom and how she wanted me to be smart, but I wasn’t and I just wanted to dance and do people’s hair. And he said it was cool, and it was another form of art. So now I’m an artist, I guess. Slide 106: “We went inside and he asked me if I wanted to dance, so we did. He’s a Pleasure Sim, too, and yeah, he’s really cute,” Mimi smiled. All in all, it was a good night for the Grangers. Slide 107: The next day Mimi called Simon and invited him over. Harry and Helena pretended they weren’t watching through the windows. “I’m glad you invited me over, Mimi,” Simon said, meeting her eyes. “I’m glad you came,” Mimi said, blushing a bit. Slide 108: “You know, Simon, I really like you,” Mimi said, not at all shy. “Really? Oh, good, because I really like you, too.” They laughed. Slide 109: Being Pleasure Sims, they had fun by acting like total idiots with the karaoke machine. Slide 110: And Mimi had a very good morning. Slide 111: Later that morning, Harry went to visit Bella. “57 Dusty Drive,” he said to himself, looking at the numbers on the doors and finding the correct one. “Dad lived around here when he was in college,” he remembered out of the blue. Slide 112: Wait, Harry thought, this can’t be right. It’s gotta be the wrong house. But the door said 57 plain as day. Who is that? Why… A horrible notion came to him, and he felt hot and cold at the same time. He went to the door. Slide 113: “Good morning, Bella,” he said. “Oh, hi, Harry,” she smiled. “Um…who was that just now?” Harry asked, wanting to make this horrible idea in his head go away as soon as possible. Slide 114: She laughed. “Oh, Harry, don’t worry your pretty little head.” “Are you…” He couldn’t even finish the sentence. Slide 115: “Look, Harry, we’re going to be married, right?” “Right.” “And marriage is about accepting someone for who they are, dealing with their little flaws and quirks. And that’s mine. Okay?” He wasn’t so sure. Slide 116: “But, Bella, I just…” She made a face. “Look, Harry, some things you do annoy me, too.” Slide 117: She kissed him softly. “Don’t worry. It’s your ring on my finger, isn’t it?” “Yes.” “So, don’t worry. Everything’s fine. I love you.” “I love you, too,” Harry said, smiling and he went back home. Slide 118: “WHAT?!” Helena exploded. “Ow! Geez, blow out my eardrums, why don’t you?” Harry grumbled. He’d told her what happened on Dusty Drive. Slide 119: “You’re just going to accept this?!” she shrieked. “Don’t tell me how to live my life, baby sister.” “Don’t call me a baby!” “I know what I’m doing!” “Yeah, me too! You’re marrying a whore!” Slide 120: Rage pulsed through him. “Don’t you dare call her that!” “Make me!” Helena said furiously. “I’m warning you right now, Helena, shut your mouth!” She looked angry and hurt. Harry had yelled at her before in a big brother fashion, but he’d never called her names or told her to shut up before. “Why should I shut my mouth? Because you know it’s true?” Slide 121: “SHUT UP!” “Ow!” Tears sprung in his sister’s eyes, but he was upstairs before he could see them. “What the hell was that for, Harry?!” Helena screamed after him, unable to keep her voice from breaking. Slide 122: The first room he saw was the bathroom. He slammed the door and sat on the edge of the tub, head in hands. I didn’t mean to hurt her. But I made her cry anyway, he thought mournfully, thinking of Helena. I guess I’m more upset than I thought. Slide 123: Oh, Bella, why’d you do that? I thought you loved me. Didn’t you think of how much that would hurt me? He was no longer mad, but miserable. Slide 124: He stood up and started to cry. There was a pounding on the door. “Harry, I still can’t believe you--! Are you crying?!” Helena. Come to tell him off. He heard the doorknob turn. Slide 125: “Are you okay?” “No,” he managed to choke out. “Oh. Are you crying because you hit me? It wasn’t that bad, I’m not bruising or anything.” Helena had never seen her big brother cry before, and it rather scared her. Usually the little sister cries and the big brother comforts her, but now it was the opposite. Slide 126: “I-I’m sorry,” Harry said. “I shouldn’t have said those things. I just…” she shook her head. “I bet it hurts,” she said quietly. He nodded and kept weeping. Slide 127: “I-I can’t b-believe she’d d-do that…” Harry said, his words broken by sobs. Helena had, but she didn’t say so. “Hey. Come on. It’s okay.” “No, it’s not. I j-just love her so much, and…” “And that’s why she’s going to end up with you in the end.” Slide 128: “None of those other guys really care about her, but you do. She doesn’t realize it now, but she will someday. Someday she’ll see that you’ve always been there for her, and no one else was, and she’ll appreciate that. She does love you, I mean, she wouldn’t be with you if she wasn’t, but she doesn’t really appreciate you yet.” Slide 129: The sobbing slowed, but didn’t stop. “R-really? You think so?” “I know so,” Helena said confidently. Slide 130: Harry wiped his eyes. “I was mad. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. Or anyone, for that matter.” “I’ll admit, I sort of provoked you. I’d beat you up too if you talked that way about my fiancée.” Helena laughed. He gave her a watery smile. “Yeah.” Slide 131: “Thanks, Helena.” “Want me to play piano at the wedding?” “I’d love that.” “It means Seb has to come.” “Darn. But okay.” Slide 132: Let’s not be miserable all the time, mmkay? There are happier couples in the Valley. Ginny and Rem, yay! Rem’s been rolling the “Throw a Party” want for like ever, silly Pleasure Sim, and I finally caved. I don’t usually throw parties. The last Granger party was, like, Daisy’s child-to-teen birthday. >.> Slide 133: “Ginny, I have a very important question to ask you.” “What? Are you…*gasp*” “Wanna get me a soda?” “W-wha? Oh. Okay. I guess so.” “Also…” Slide 134: “Ginny Granger, will you marry me?”“Oh…oh my gosh! Yes! Yes, a million times yes!” Slide 135: “But…that pesky glitch…” “June’s patched and I’m graduating. Forget the glitch!” “YAY!” Slide 137: And, of course, the party was a good one. Slide 138: Birthday sparklies! It’s time for our placeholder to go! Which means we need a new placeholder, Abbey’s actually a bit older than the H kids! Well, a lot older, but this ain’t the Sims 3, so it doesn’t matter! Slide 139: What the hey, Rem? Why are you dressed sensibly? “Make it stop!” I wish I could, buddy! Slide 140: The next day, Harry, feeling more upbeat, said to his sisters, “We’re going to have a little celebration in a few days.” “Really? For what?” Mimi asked. “Oh, it’s almost senior year, and Mom wanted to celebrate mine and Helena’s engagements.” Harry explained. “It’s only going to be us three, Mom, and Dad, a very quiet little thing.” Slide 141: “Oh, that sounds lovely! I’ve missed Mom and Dad, and we should all have a--” Slide 142: Mimi interrupted. “Wait. Mom and Dad are coming here?!” “Yes,” Harry said, bewildered. “Oh, noooo…” Mimi muttered to herself. “Why are you…what’s going on?” Helena asked. Slide 143: “Well…” Well WHAT? Tune in next time for the Grande Finale of the H Uni years! Thanks for reading all eleventy billion and two slides! Slide 144: These are the twelve pose boxes and hacks, and Hula and More, used in this chapter. There are three things I can never get enough of: hairs, maternity clothes, and pose boxes!
