Unit timetable :
Unit timetable As these two units work so closely together the work
you do in one will influence your work in the other.
Timetables will be issued for each unit. Punctuation and
grammar will be covered over the first 6 weeks and the
skills learned during that time will help you to complete
the second unit and produce a range of written materials.

Let’s get started…… In any form of writing being able to spell correctly is
vital. The quality of spelling reflects back on the author
and no matter how ‘well written’ or well argued your
piece is poor spelling will let it down.
In English there are several words which because they
sound alike can cause confusion – can you think of any?
Which words cause you problems?
Task 2 :
Task 2 Capital letters is our next topic – put yourselves into
small groups and using the flash cards issued decide
which words should have a capital letter and why and
which ones should not.
