Distributed Control Systems (DCSs) are dedicated systems used to control manufacturing processes that are continuous or batch-oriented. A DCS typically uses custom designed processors as controllers and uses both proprietary interconnections and communications protocol for communication. Controller, Server, HMI, Input and output modules form component parts of the DCS.Distributed Control System: Distributed Control System OPERATION: The processor receives information from input cards and sends information to output cards. The input card receive information from field instruments in the process ( PS, PT, FT, DPT, TE & etc.,) and transmit instructions to the output instruments in the field( Control valve, On/Off valve & etc.,) through the output card. If a person knows the basics of Digital electronic gates such as AND, OR, NOT, NOR, RS flip flop, Timers, counters and etc., then it is very easy to understand. Modbus signals updating speed is good Multiple signal can be used in trending page. In order to add a signal for trending you just open the trend page and then keep on adding the signal by drag and dropping methodprovisions in SPPA T3000: provisions in SPPA T3000 Easy to force a signal All forced signal can be viewed in a single page Different types of audible alarm can be provided based on the criticality of alarm Online modification of logics is possible if the change does not affect the process value Alarms for modbus signal can be provided Logics can be developed for Modbus signal .
