Because HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that works with musicians to promote participation in democracy. Client organized a social-media driven campaign on Voter Registration Day 2012. Objective was to direct non-registered voters to an online tool that made voter registration a siimple two-step process on Client’s website. Client specializes in working with famous musicians but lacked A-list actors and comedians as supporters. Client wanted to recruit 10 major non-music celebrities to participate. Worked with Client to formulate a list of 30 celebrities to approach for the campaign. Selections were based on extensive research into key demographics celebrities with a young potentially unregistered fan base. Enlisted 15 celebrity supporters including Edward Norton George Lopez Sarah Silverman Susan Sarandon Ed Asner Shay Mitchell and Norman Reedus and Laurie Holden “The Walking Dead”/AMC. Campaign registered 40000 new voters in a single day – the largest social-media driven voter registration campaign to date according to Client. She came back inspired to raise 18000 via a crowdfunding campaign she organized18 for 18 that centered around a skydive at 18000 feet.
