Domestic violence is abusive behavior by one or both partners in a relationship It can take several forms: Physical abuse (hitting, kicking, biting, shoving, or throwing objects) Sexual/emotional abuse Threats Stalking Our Purpose : Our Purpose We informed the public about what domestic violence is, how to help victims, get support, and plan for safety. It benefitted everyone: -victims, abusers, and for those that may be unaware of the abuse or prevent abuse from happening What I did… : What I did… I was in charge of making and posting flyers I helped set up and work the booth I made food for the bake sale I made a Domestic Violence poster This is Me at the Booth : This is Me at the Booth What I Liked : What I Liked I enjoyed working the booth. I met new people and many were interested in our project. We had a bake sale and handed out helpful information. Some people shared stories and supported our cause. What I Disliked : What I Disliked I wished our group had more time to prepare for the Domestic Violence week. Our meetings seemed to veer off subject, and it was hard to plan and get things done. However, we pulled it together, and everything turned out well. What I Would Do the Same : What I Would Do the Same I would help with the flyers, the bake sale, posters, and the booth I would buy a t-shirt and help promote Domestic Violence Awareness What I Would Do Differently : What I Would Do Differently I would take charge and plan meetings in advance I would advertise better for Domestic Violence Week and post as many flyers beforehand How it Was Feminist : How it Was Feminist Feminists are those who wish to set the world equal and can be men, women, boys, and girls Our project focused on abusive relationships and gender inequality We addressed issues related to mainly women, including men We promoted awareness to help those in need, support, and plan for safety You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
