Getting Started Digital Download Center: Featured App: OVERDRIVE MEDIA CONSOLE FOR iOS , BlackBerry, & Droid *All MP3 Audiobooks and EPUB Ebooks from our Digital Download Center HOW? From your mobile browser, navigate to: http://efiles.rcls.org At the bottom of the page, there will be an option to download “Overdrive Media Console for your iOS , Blackberry, Windows Phone, or Android- powered device. Android : search “Overdrive” in the Android market . iPad /iPod Touch/ iPhone : Search “Overdrive Media Console” in Apple . BlackBerry: in the MobiHand Superstore . Windows Phone app is available in the Windows Phone Marketplace. Open your preferred QR Code Scanner to Grab These QR for Blackberry QR for Droid

Mobile Digital Downloads:

Mobile Digital Downloads You should see the app in your menu of apps when successfully downloaded: From your mobile browser, navigate to: http://efiles.rcls.org You will see the mobile version of the Digital Download Center. Here’s a sample image courtesy of the River Falls Library. Notice the options to “touch to browse” and touch to Login with your library card and pin (hint: default pin is last 4 digits of phone # your library card is registered with)

Downloading Titles:

Downloading Titles Once you log in with your library barcode and pin number, you will be prompted to choose to view one of the two types of materials that is supported by your Overdrive mobile app: EPUB e-books MP3 audiobooks The mobile site searches each format individually . You will still be able to browse by subject for each format as you are in the non-mobile version of our digital download center. Here’s a sample of the search page courtesy of the River Falls Library. Please note it has been modified to reflect our page: Place request = item is currently checked out – enter email address for hold notification Add to Download List = item is available for immediate download

Checking Out Titles:

Checking Out Titles Once you’ve found a title that you “added to Download List” please note that there are 3 additional steps before the title attempts to download to the Overdrive Media App: Note the 3 steps in order on the left: Step 1: You will be asked to review your selections and offered a touch screen option to remove any titles you do not wish to download. Step 2: You will be then asked to confirm your check-out. Step 3: The last step after you confirm your check out, is to touch the “Download” button to download your selected EPUB or MP3 titles.

Adobe Digital ID:

Adobe Digital ID The first time you attempt to download an EPUB e-book to your Overdrive Media Console app , you will be asked to authorize the download via sign-in with your Adobe Digital ID and password . If you don’t have an Adobe Digital ID and Password, you can tap the option to sign up for an Adobe Digital ID and Password (you may wish to do this on a traditional workstation if the touchscreen feels cumbersome). You will be asked to fill out an online form.

Adobe Settings:

Adobe Settings Once you’ve registered for an Adobe Digital ID or logged with with a previously registered valid Adobe Digital ID, you will see your e-book settings with your Adobe ID indicated as shown on the left side of this page for an iOS (Apple) device. Overdrive App with Titles:

Overdrive App with Titles You will only be asked to register for an Adobe Digital ID one time. You’re Adobe Digital ID/Password combo Will authorize digital content downloads to the Overdrive Media Console app from our Digital Download Center. Get More Audio or E-Books:

Get More Audio or E-Books Getting more MP3 audiobooks or EPUB e-books to browse, check-out and download to your Overdrive mobile app is easy. One touch: Use the “Get Books” feature to: find the “Tappan Library” e-collection, then browse for more titles to check out and download to your smartphone or tablet. This feature of the app will bring you back to the mobile version’s main digital download page (efiles.rcls.org) on your device.
