Wikispaces At Fayetteville:

Wikispaces At Fayetteville Wiki is derived from the Hawaiian word for quick. A wiki is an open-editing web application similar to a web page. Open-editing means that a wiki can be edited by anyone who can view it. Information can be posted to a wiki without programming knowledge and without the expense of site hosting, making it very appealing to many users.

The faculty at Fayetteville has responded with enthusiasm to the technology training our 21st Century team has provided. Many teachers have searched for ways to use these new lessons. Using Interwrite pads, SmartBoards, new programs and tools is becoming more and more common in our K-12 school.

Fifth grade students in Mrs. Spurling’s science class enjoy updating the class wikispace. Playing video games isn’t just for fun! Classes at Fayetteville play them to learn. Here students are learning about landforms on the Oregon Trail! High School students at Fayetteville are using a variety of new technology tools. Many use del.icio.us for bookmarking, ourstory.com for journaling and story writing, and wikispaces to access class handouts, calendars, notes, and other important information.
