Hope Alive UGANDA :Hope Alive UGANDA Empowering the Youth of Kisozi, Uganda
Slide 2:HAU is a registered CBO (Community Based Organization) dedicated to empowering the local youth who are orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, malaria, malnutrition, etc. These children are left behind. Many are unable to attend school, get proper nutrition, access medical attention and sleep in a safe place at night. Their hope for the future rests in the hands of Hope Alive Uganda!
Kisozi, Uganda :Kisozi, Uganda Kisozi is one of the five sub counties forming Buzaya County in Kamuli District. It is 11km from Nawanyago, the trading center and takes roughly 10 minutes on a boda boda. It consists of people of varying culture and races. Over 75 percent of the children in the county are unable to go to school.

To establish projects and activities that generate income for child support, such as agriculture project (maize/vegetables) and animal husbandry (chickens/pigs/goats)
Slide 5:HAU is partnering with Horizon Holland to build a new school. The new school will be built close to Kisozi in Kamuli and will house 50 orphans for boarding and about 300 students in 7 school classrooms. Here the orphans will be able to be cared for, fed, educated and feel a sense of togetherness and “family” that they are greatly in need of.
Orphan Care Orphan Care :Orphan Care Orphan Care A plan is in place to support the orphans of the community. Many are left behind after their parents and some siblings have died due to AIDS, malaria, malnutrition, as well as other causes. The goal is to provide an excellent educational experience while having all of their basic needs met including safe housing, daily meals and most importantly.... LOVE, UNDERSTANDING and a sense of WORTH!
One Goat Per Child :One Goat Per Child HAU just began a partnership with “One Goat Per Child.” Beatrice was given a goat by HAU. She will care for the goat so when it is old enough it can be breed. She can later sell the offspring to pay for her school fees. She can milk her goat as well.
Slide 8:Agriculture
HAU has started a test plot in order to find out how to produce the most plentiful crops. A variety of seeds were planted and the farmers are trying no-till farming. They are also incorporating drip hose irrigation.
