That's why Mac OS X universal access features can be so useful. Features such as Text to Speech, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts provide you the flexibility to see, hear, and control MS Office applications in the ways that work best for you. Contents : Contents Objectives Text-to-Speech Selections – Instructions Online Resources Contact Information Objectives : Objectives After you complete this section, you'll be able to: Listen to selected text in a Word document. Use a keyboard shortcut to listen to selected text in any MS Office application. Speak to your computer to have it perform a common task. Find and change a Mac OS X keyboard shortcut. Create a custom Office keyboard shortcut. MS Word : MS Word Listen to selected text in a Word document Word can read text aloud from any document. You simply choose the text that you want to hear, and then use the Speech toolbar to hear it. Display the Speech toolbar and then listen to it from a Word document.
