Connecting to Link Box::

Connecting to Link Box: Select Link Box: Can connect to multiple link boxes W ill only operate one Link Box at a time Defaults automatically if linked to a previous Link Box Automatically connects if default Link Box within range Select desired Link Box for operation of ALS Manikin Run without Link Box: Utilized for SimPad training Select “Run without Link Box”

Physiology Changes: Indicated by dark grey arrow shading inside of learner actions/interventions selection Automatically progresses the physiology to the next stage: If all learner actions/interventions are selected, current Scenario Progression Tab will disappear If learner does not perform an action/intervention, manually select the appropriate physiology tab for scenario progression

What Ifs?:

What Ifs? Learner does not perform a mandatory step to progress physiology? Learning station / Putting it all together: Pause for instruction or utilize during debrief as appropriate AHA Megacode : Annotated on log, utilize during debrief Learner performs an action outside of AHA algorithm? Utilize onscreen keyboard (bottom right hand corner) to create a time stamped log entry. Utilize during debrief

Pacing / Defibrillation / Cardioversion::

Pacing / Defibrillation / Cardioversion : Scenario specific Pacing: Auto detected by ALS Manikin (unless failure to capture) Detected at 80mA HR will not display on SimPad Monitor will indicate paced rhythm Defibrilation / Cardioversion : Auto detected by ALS Manikin Energy level recorded in log Physiology change in accordance with scenario selected Manual push available in learner actions/interventions menu

Pausing or Ending a Scenario::

Pausing or Ending a Scenario: To Pause or End a scenario, select the “Menu” button located top left of screen Screen will display: Preferences Start CPR Demo Patient monitor Pause scenario End scenario “Pause scenario” will be replaced by “Resume scenario” To end, select “End scenario”

Ending Scenario::

Ending Scenario: View Log: “Log Viewer” screen will appear Grey status bar indicates progress Resume session: Second chance to resume New session: Will return to the Scenario Category screen Quit: Will return to the main start screen
