¡POVERTY: an unwinnable fight or unstoppable force; the faceless nemesis!

A world movement to end extreme poverty is taking shape, but the skills that this movement must confront also remain powerful and deadly. –Jeffery Sachs :

A world movement to end extreme poverty is taking shape, but the skills that this movement must confront also remain powerful and deadly. –Jeffery Sachs In my opinion I don’t think the world itself is doing enough to stop poverty. But what does one opinion mean to the whole world? We need to act now!

PowerPoint Presentation:

Today we can invoke the same logic to declare the extreme poverty can be ended not in time for our grandchildren, but in our time. – Jeffery Sachs

In the video prior to this quote ,do you think this is actually true? Relative poverty is generally construed as a household income level below a given proportion of average national income. The relatively poor, in high income countries, lack access to cultural goods, entertainment, recreation, and to quality health care, education, and other perquisites for upward social mobility. –Jeffery Sachs

Instead of the kids eating on the naked ground I would prefer them to eat at a table like myself. But could they afford a table? If these people are not starving, they are hungry, and sometimes fat with hunger, for that is what cheap foods do. They are without adequate housing and education and medical care. –Michael Harrington

The knowledge that I have on poverty is that we have homeless shelters and soup kitchens for them to eat at. Them wait in long lines just to eat or get a place to sleep.:

In my opinion I feel this quote is stating that no one really cares about the next person being hungry or poor. But if we don’t love each other as a whole then something terrible could happen.:

In my opinion I feel this quote is stating that no one really cares about the next person being hungry or poor. But if we don’t love each other as a whole then something terrible could happen. Hunger allows no choice To the citizen or the police; We must love one another or die –W.H. Auden
