She walks fast . He spoke slowly . Adverbs of manner describe action verbs. They say how or in what manner something happens. The adverb often comes at the end of the sentence or after an action verb.

USE:

USE ADJECTIVE tell us what something or someone is like . Describes a NOUN ( name ). She’s a good singer . ADJECTIVE + NOUN He’s careful . ADVERBS of manner tell us how someone does something . Describes a VERB ( action ) She sings well . VERB + ADVERB He does things carefully . FORM
