How It All Started? One of my 2010 new year resolution was to live a healthier life. Yes, you got it right - it was not a voluntary decision. I was somewhat "forced" after completing my annual medical checkup. I guessed it was time to pay my dues after years of reckless eating and *ahem* drinking. Well, to cut the long story short, Dr Phillips (my family doctor) suggested I include exercises to my lifestyle.

She and her hubby have a Bowflex Series 5 treadmill for some time already. Although they love the Bowflex Series 5, they advised me to get the Bowflex Series 7 which is one of the top rated treadmill for home use. According to them, they didn’t get it back then because the Series 5 cost a few hundred lesser. But now, the price of the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill has dropped.

I knew Rita’s husband do thorough research before any major purchase. So, I was pretty much convinced that his recommendation will suit me all right. But I was still surprised when I saw many positive reviews on the WWW when I was doing my price comparison (I can’t remember how many it was then). Treadmill Wasn’t The 1st Choice The first thing that I thought of was joining a fitness centre in my neighbourhood. And I did join them. It was fun! The centre organized many types of programs such as yoga, dancing, pilates besides the regular exercise machines such as weight lifting, treadmills, elliptical trainers, etc. However, after several weeks, going to the fitness centre became more of a tasks rather than a fun outing. Getting out of my warm and cosy house in the cold winter can be a pain in the a-s-s.

Amazon.com – My Trusted Merchant I prefer to buy online since the prices are usually lower. Hey, times are bad, so saving a few dollars here and there helps, right? . Amazon.com is my preferred online merchant. I am pretty sure I will get a good deal on the Bowflex Series 7 treadmill from Amazon this time around too. Sure enough, $1299 with free shipping is one of the lowest price I seen on the internet. Actually, there was another site that offered it @ $1199 with free shipping. However, I was a little sceptical about that site. I would have taken some risk for lower price item. But for over $1k purchase, I will stick with a merchant I trust.
