Premium member Presentation Transcript The Roman Clothing Shop: The Roman Clothing Shop Store owner: Jack Eudy 10/15/11Tunica: The tunica was a square piece of cloth cut so an man or a woman or who ever was wearing could have a place or the head and arms. The tunica was always worn under the toga. We have these on price for $20. Tunica Toga praetexta : The toga praetexta was a toga with a purple stripe on the side. This is worn for senators, and children of noble birth. This is a great item to buy if you are one of those. They usually sell for $100. Toga praetexta Toga virilis/pura : The toga virilis or pura is known as the toga of manhood. It is worn for those that have reached manhood and arent wearing another toga. It is a great piece of clothing for those who reached manhood. These usually sell for $65. Toga virilis / pura Toga candida : The toga candida is for those who are seeking a place in office. It is bleached white nd is a great looking way t let people know your running while looking good. These usually sell for $70. Toga candida Toga picta : The toga picta is a colored toga that are worn by priest. It has colors that are quite exotic and tacky so they stand out. It is a good way to let everyone know you’re a preist . They are priced at $60. Toga picta Stola : The stola is a dress worn over the tunica. The women are the only ones that wear this so men wouldn’t be interested. These are priced between $40 and $60. Stola Palla : The palla is a very large rectangle piece of cloth that is worn by women. They rap it around there body. Women usually wear this as a coat with or without a hood for the cold months. They prices for these are $50. PallaBulla: The bulla was an amulet that’s was given to male children of the roman family which contains special various items that the Romans believe keep them protected from evil and other bad things. This would make a great birthday gift for children. They are on sale for $100. Bulla Soleae : These sandals are merely simple soles, sometimes hobnailed, of leather or matting attached to the feet by a thong between the toes or with a few thongs of leather tied round the ankle. They were worn with a tunic when it was not covered by an outer garment; customarily their use was limited to the house. It was not considered suitable for a man to go out in sandals. Sandals were not worn at meals; host and guests wore them into the dining room, but as soon as the men took their places on the couches, slaves removed the sandals and kept them until the meal was over. They are for sale for $90. SoleaeCalcei: The calcei was a shoe worn by roman solders and those in the military because it provided great protection for the extreme terrain they were tracking through.
