Gram ( Cicer arietinum L.) is an important rabi pulse crop of Pakistan. It is the nineteenth most important crop grown in the world. It has ability fix atmospheric nitrogen and improve soil fertility. Chickpea having complete and bisexuall flower. Its important source of human food and animal feed due to high nutrient % value. ORIGIN Originated in western Asia (probably eastern Turkey). Spread to Europe and other countries.

TYPES OF CHICKPEA:

TYPES OF CHICKPEA There are two types of Chickpea : 1. Desi 2. Kabuli. Desi having pink flower and seed is angular and strongly wrinkled. Use as dhal, ground to flour. Kabuli/ chhola type having white flower and large seed size. Used as soaked, roasted or fried.

MATERIALS AND METHODS :

MATERIALS AND METHODS The experiment work was carried out at the Research Area of Pulse Section, Rice Research Institute Dokri , during 15-12-2015 to 15-01-2016. Evaluate the Different Heritability Characters of three Chickpea varieties. The Used cultivar in the experiment was RABAT, SANYASI DG-92 .
