Slide 3: The number of species of Plants, Animals and Micro Organisms, enormous diversity of genes in these species, the different ecosystems on the planet (Deserts, Rainforests, Coral reefs) are all Part of Biologically Diverse Earth. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT? : WHY IT IS IMPORTANT? Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity Each species is important They have a role to play. Larger number of plant species means Greater variety of crops Greater species diversity Ensures Natural sustainability for all life forms.
