Climbing Trees:

Climbing Trees Black bears climb trees for 3 reasons, to escape danger, to eat nuts or fruit from a tree, and to rest or sleep. Some thing cool to know is that when a mother bear brings her cubs out of the den, she teaches them to climb trees.


Food They eat honey but what they like to find bee hives and eat the bees and the larvae. They also eat grass, leaves, buds, flowers, mushrooms, berries, fruit, nuts including acorns, insects, and fish!

Where they live:

Where they live They live in mountains, swampy areas, abandon fields, hard wood forest, soft wood forest, mixed forest, logged areas, and cornfields.
