Peter Lu:
Peter Lu Peter was a genius. His nickname was mad scientist, Dr. Lu Manchu. He invented LAFFF. His family immigrated from China.
Angela Tang:
Angela Tang Liked to write. Won the story contest at her school. Found a use for LAFFF. Her family also immigrated from China.
LAFFF:
LAFFF Is a time machine. Looks like a shower stall. Can only travel to the future. Can only stay in the future for a couple of minutes. Anything you bring from the future will go back to it’s own time in a few minutes. LAFFF stands for Lu’s Artifact For Fast Forward.
Angela and LAFFF:
Angela and LAFFF Angela thought that she could use LAFFF to win the story contest. All she needed to do was to get a future school magazine, one where the winning story of the Story Contest was printed, and copy the story.
Winning:
Winning After winning the story contest, Angela felt bad. She had cheated. Peter congratulated her, but she thought that she had won unfairly. Another student had written the story and she had stolen it!
Loop:
Loop After the contest, Peter and Angela talked about her story. She had written it! She had stolen from herself! The story she had written, Around and Around was the same story as the one about LAFFF! So at the end, when Peter asked her to read her story, it started at the beginning.
