About My Project : 

Pondicherry University 4 About My Project Aim of my project is to build a new mobile application which makes the user to access the information more easier.

Problem definition : 

Pondicherry University 5 Problem definition The “Mobile Information System” includes Mobile Number Locator, STD Codes Finder and Country Codes Finder. Mobile Number Locator traces the mobile numbers (of India only) with state, reference cities (exact or nearby city), service provider. It also can be used to find mobile number information or mobile number location. STD Codes Finder search for STD (Subscribers Trunk Dialing) codes by typing city/town name and search for city/town name by typing the STD code. Country Codes Finder search for ISD (International Subscriber Dialing) codes by typing country name and search for country name by typing the Country code. STD Code Finder & Mobile Number Locator are, again, valid for India only.

Need Of MOBIS The progress of technological advancement is increasing everyday. The advantage for a company to release a new idea for public consumption is exponential.

Technology used in MOBIS : 

Technology used in MOBIS J2ME stands for Java 2, Micro Edition. It is a stripped-down version of Java targeted at devices which have limited processing power and storage capabilities and intermittent or fairly low-bandwidth network connections. These include mobile phones, pagers, wireless devices and set-top boxes
