Background She was born in Zadar, Croatia. She moved to Zagreb when she was 19 years old to go to college and worked as a journalist for 5 years. Her highest level of education that she got her college degree on Faculty of Physical Education. Her
motivations to start a business in Zadar were nature and organic production. She was interested in organic production, especially because it wasn’t so developed in Croatia.
Idea Generation:
Idea Generation She decided to explore their affinity to nature and to devote the last year gathering information on several branches of agriculture and their demand on the market outside the Croatian. When she recevived an affirmative answers to cooperate from foreign companies, they saw great prospects for organic agriculture in the world and started to go to education. Journalism, unfortunately, had to stay behind her. She chose a location for snail farm in a nearby village, near Zadar. There is plenty of uncultivated land, and to her it seemed to be a good location, and so it turned on.
Operations:
Operations Can you describe one day of your operation from the time you open in the morning to the time you close? Her day starts with phones ringing from 7 o'clock in the morning until late evening, and seven days a week, because she’s not in a position to determine working hours strictly. All her customers are from abroad and so far have been pleased with their business. She hopes it will stay that way. Her operations didn’t change over the past several years, because her business is a young company. It’s in the process of advancement of knowledge and skills, business development. From year to year the production of snails are more in progress and she’s looking forward to do better business.

Planning and finance She started with collecting information on several branches of agriculture and their demand on the market outside the Croatian. When she received an affirmative answer to cooperate from foreign companies, she saw a great perspective of ecological agriculture in the world. Afterwards she had a plan about her business. Shedidn’t had no business partners or investors, her family is a great support. Her costs were initially high, because this is a very lucrative business with many risks. the first two years Ishe didn’t had not exercised any income, because she had to wait for snail breeding, since the country is only a mother snails. After these two years of waiting in suspense, she made a large income, more than she expected, and she meet all of their initial costs.

Personal Insights She thinks that the key characteristics of business innovation are hard work, goal setting and responsibility. She also thinks that you have to be quite optimistic to be an entrepreneur. Her advice to new entrepreneurs is to stick to your goal. If the business is not used to go the way we planned, do not give up,change the plan and program and move on
