Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: global leadership initiativeSlide 5: What we do We take professionals from UK and European organisations out to rural locations in Uganda and Bangladesh. Participants live & work with local communities, taking part in programmes combining leadership development & corporate responsibility .Slide 9: Leadership development Participants experience life in the developing world, and must take stock of their own abilities, knowledge and skills. As a result, we gain remarkable new insights into what it takes to be a leader .Slide 13: Corporate responsibility Immersed in a myriad of sustainability challenges , participants have a unique opportunity to look deeply at the impacts & influence that their own organisations have on the environment & society .Slide 17: Making a difference We work with local businesses, NGOs, community development groups, schools, local government agencies, clinics, & many others, to develop & implement practical actions & solutions . We collaborate & learn together.Slide 20: Collaboration & action We come face-to-face with issues of economic development, climate change, health, poverty, education & human rights. We have a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the issues, & then to consider what responses are the most appropriate & effective.Slide 23: How it works We match your skills, experience & aspirations with the needs of local community groups, NGOs, businesses & development projects. Programmes of up to 10 days blend personal leadership development with the opportunity to develop & deliver creative solutions on the ground .Slide 27: UGANDA In Uganda, we are hosted by a small teacher training college in a remote rural setting near the settlement of Kaliro , north of Iganga in Eastern Uganda. We live and work with local communities. Living conditions are very basic, and form an important part of the learning experience in Uganda.Slide 30: BANGLADESH In Bangladesh, we are hosted by the Kazi & Kazi Organic Tea Plantation in Tetulia , near Panchagarh, in the Rajshahi Division in the north west of Bangladesh. Our work here is also supported by ULAB University and their Institute for Sustainable Development.Slide 39: Transformational learning We go there to learn from each other. In the face of immense challenges, we witness remarkable levels of engagement, innovation & resilience in local communities.
