Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: My favorite Humans vs Zombies memory was at a one night mission here at Slide 2: UMBC, it was the Thursday before Slide 3: Halloween, so it was the club’s Halloween mission, which pretty much meant Slide 4: That people would wear costume when playing and Slide 5: Candy was part of the mission objective. Things seemed pretty good Slide 6: a lot of people were participating, people were in costume, and there Slide 7: Was candy. However things weren’t going so well for me, Slide 8: I was running late because I had spent too much time gearing up for the mission, when I got there I had to rush to supply some friends with bandanas, blasters, and darts. Slide 9: To make matters worse Mark, my suitemate, told me that he wanted to go to the mission at the last moment, which doesn’t seem so bad but .. Slide 10: Well Mark has MS and, he can’t exactly run from zombies. So without people protecting him Mark is very vulnerable to zombies. I wanted to make sure that Mark had other humans to support him, because last year I had problems in my hips Slide 11: Due to a chronic disease known as Anklyosing Spodylitis, as a result I ended up missing a few games or got left behind because of my inability to run Slide 12: Currently I’m receiving new treatments that have helped a lot, but I wanted to make sure that Mark had other humans to protect him and wouldn’t get left behind like I had. I wanted to find Mark a group of people to protect him, but before I had a chance to ask around the game had already started Slide 13: All the other humans left ahead of us leaving Me and Mark on our own, you couldn’t blame them though the zombies were about to be released from the building too Slide 14: So we had to get away from the starting point but, the terrain provided us with a serious obstacle, the mission was located on a sloped area of the campus called academic row where buildings and sidewalks were separated into separate levels called.. Slide 15: Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tiers, to go up or down a tier players players use outdoor stairs setup next to the buildings, but since Mark is handicap… Slide 16: Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 he is allowed to go into buildings to use the elevators Slide 17: However since I can’t go in buildings I had to run around to the other side of the building and then wait alone at the other entrance leaving myself vulnerable and clearly visible to zombies until Mark arrived, which is very nerve-racking to say the least Slide 18: Despite this we managed to stay alive and get to the third tier where we found another group in an effort to follow that group Mark had to go through the Chemistry building and meet me on the other side Slide 19: ? Unfortunately Mark didn’t get there soon enough to catch up with the group. In fact HE NEVER SHOWED UP Mark mixed up which floor he was supposed to go to and ended up getting lost in the building, he finally found a different exit to the lower tier, but by then he assumed that I probably left and continued on his own. Slide 20: On his own Mark set out and was soon encountered by a group of zombies, Slide 21: when they started to close in Mark made a quick turn and started shooting, until.. the inevitable happened… and he became one of them Slide 22: Meanwhile... Slide 23: I WAS STILL WAITING AT THE DOOR Slide 24: I was waiting there for a long time, for awhile I only had problems with an occasional lone zombies now and then, at one point I tried to call mark only to find that I had my roommate's number under his name, I was trying to tell my roommate to forward a message to mark and I had to stun an attacking zombie during the conversation Slide 25: ! Eventually a horde found me and sent several zombie who used the nearby walls as cover when attacking my un-defendable position one of the last zombies in that wave was claiming that I hadn’t stun him, I was trying to point out the dart I shoot him with When Suddenly another zombie attacked me but fell! right before reaching me, I was so startled I didn’t even think to check if they were okay, Slide 26: I was too worried about the un-stunned zombies setting up for an attack, this time there were too many so I ran Slide 27: I forced my way around the building, shooting any zeds that got near me on my path until I found and defendable area walled off on three sides. There, I was able to catch my breath and take out zombies one by one until it was safe enough to make my escape. Slide 28: FAIL That mission I broke any zombie killing record I might have previously held, however I can’t say that I was total badass in the process, because I was absolutely terrified, and you could see it in some of the pathetic stuff I did like back when I was at the door and a bunch of zombies started arriving I randomly yelled help, my pathetic cry was not directed at anyone in particular and seemed to only get attention from zombies I also tried to throw a sock at some zombies using my non-dominate hand which resulted is the most sissy throw seen in hvz STRESSED : STRESSED DESSERTS Although it was very stressful and nerve-wracking at times It was fun, without that stress and paranoia playing HvZ as a human wouldn’t be the same.. It adds to the fun, it’s like desserts, desserts are fun but remember desserts is just stressed spelled backwards You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
