The drink absinth had a bad reputation in past.It has very high alcohol content.Indeed absinth was banned in most of Europe,for nearly a century,until 1996.Since then it once again became cool to have an absinth,thought it’s also cool not to drink too much.

It is often been called “A green faerie”.Absinth is once again becoming a fashionable drink around many bars in Europe.It’s especially popular in France.There are many myths linked to absinth.

There are many secret ingredients in absinth.The drink is traditionally green.It has alcohol content from 45% to 85%.Althought it’s not banned any more,a lot of countries still have strict rules for production and selling.In France,for example,bottles mustn’t be labeled as Absinth.

Absinth is also becoming popular in Germany.It has attracted fresh generation who’ve developed a taste for legendary warm liqueur.They usually drink it with a glass of iced water and a cube of sugar.
