This presentation is about Grace Kelly who was a famous Hollywood actress and of course the princess of Monaco. Her fairy-tale life ended when she died in a car crash in 1982 just 2 months before her 53rd birthday. And now “Victoria and Albert Museum” show the evolution of her impalpable style over the years.

Grace Kelly was famous for her simple but elegant style. London’s Victoria and Albert museum is presenting Grace Kelly’s wardrobe in a new exibition which features old culture designes as well as 1950s film costumes including outfits from the “Rear Window”.

She was naturally very beautiful and as an actress 1950s.she was surrounded by another wonderful amazing film stars but she understood how to make the best of her look and she developed the very classic and simple style but also very glamorous.

Grace liked to wore: white gloves, pearls, low heals and hand bags, allways exactly the right hat and accessories for the every outfit. Her experience as a fashion model and actress helped her to create the wordrobe she needed for her life as a princess. She never really felt clothes was the most important thing but she thougt it shows someone’s personality.

The legendary “Kelly” bag made by French luxury “Hermes” is also undisplayed. The princess first carried one in 1956. Her second cousin Ann Geary says that Kelly loved the “Kelly” bag so much that she had it in every colour.

Ann Geary is the hotel owner in the west coast of Ireland where Grace Kelly’s grandfather was born. Ann has dedicated the room in her hotel to her famous relative. She keeps in it letters from Grace, souvenires, pictures and photos of the children.

In 1955. the actress resived the Oscar before she married Rainer,the princ of Monaco. The wedding was huge media event. “The darling of Hollywood” was transformed into a European princess. After her marriage she wore Parisian old culture especially “Dior” and became the fashion icon.
