Golden Girls Luka Knežević 7c

Slide 2:

Two Swedish ladies in their 60’s Siv Wiik and Harriet Svensson have just become superstars in their country.

Slide 3:

They went out one day,and they mined the largest piece of gold ever found in Swedish history. After that day, Their lives has been changed forever.

Slide 4:

They call themselfs golden girls. Siv Wiik says they always find some kind of minerals in rocks,so they think:’’ There must be something very valuable around there. The mother of god told us that’’.

Slide 5:

They started digging and digging about 60 centimeters, then they noticed it’s shining like a fish soup. She hammered it slowly and rock vas quite soft .

Slide 6:

At first look it looked like copper or zink. But the rock was quite soft for something like zink or copper. They were so excited and they rushed to their car to call biology institute in Upssala. They needed a proof that was a piece of gold.

Slide 7:

They had to stay quite about all that and that was not easy. Now they can talk about it because it’s all their. They had offers from many biology institutes all over the world.

Slide 8:

Some peple say that gold rush is extremly good for Sweden because they don’t have much gold discovered on this area. The men said: Swedish should explore their land little better.

The saleswoman from the only store from area where golden girls live says that she was expecting something like that, but not that large. Owing the big reward golden girls now have better and easier life.

Slide 10:

But they didn’t spend all the money on each other. Harriet donated some money to old school were she was working for 40 years. Harriet says the staff and kids in that school deserve it
