Slide 2:

In the early 18. century, princ August decided that he needs more money, for his porcelain collection. So, in 1701.he hired the young alchemyst Johann Friedrich Bottger to create gold from less valuable materials. But his succesion wasn’t good, the princ was angry, and Bottger feared for his life. He changed his focus of research and duplicated the chinese style of porcelan.

Slide 3:

1710. Bottger constituted the factory of porcelain in Germany, in Meisen, near Dresden. In the factory works 800 employs. The boss Holger Schill says that this factory is 300 years old, employs are working very good and their works are success.

Slide 4:

The porcelan is composite of clay and kaolin. The manufacture process is complex. The boss says that the most difficult part is to get the wanted figure of the porcelain.Along the scientist Walter von Tschirnhausen, Bottger produced white hard porcelain.

Slide 5:

In Meissen, there are still documents of Bottger’s research. Bottger noted his research himself. Peter Braun who works there says that holding these documents is like reaching time. It’s good to work jobs like that

Slide 6:

There is a museum in the coldest castle in Saxony where are many documents and arguments of making porcelain in 18 century. There are the dregs of clay what Bottger used to produce white hard porcelain. They recreated his wrecked works.

Slide 7:

It was hard to decide how to discover the history of making porcelain. Even in China was easier to discover because there are many arguments there. The heart of making porcelain is in China.

Slide 8:

Porcelain master Ulf Voigtlander says that Bottger doesn’t use Chinese material for making porcelain, he made his own material to produce white hard porcelain.

Slide 9:

Bottger didn’t tell the prince that he successfully produced white hard porcelain. Today, Meissen is the known manufacture in Europe. And now, in Germany are going more tourists to see how porcelain is made and there are lot of porcelain figures.
