GOERLITZ

Slide 2: 

Goerlitz is one of the dual cities and it’s special for its buildings. You can’t find as beautiful buildings as in Goerlitz are. All buildings were almost destroyed in the second world war.

Slide 3: 

The tradition of the city are their guards of old architect expressed buildings. The task of the guard was to protect the old buildings from robbers, fire, etc. Guards in Goerlitz have a suit. It’s like a long, black dress and it has a white collar.

The Shmehov (one special building in the center of Goerlitz) is the oldest building in that city. It was built it in 1526.!

Slide 6: 

After the second world war, all buildings were reconstructed. That cost hundreds of milions of euros.

Slide 7: 

The ‘’Whispering Arch’’ is the most famous building for the tourists. If one person whisper on one side of the stone door, other person can cleanly hear that on the other side of the door.

The science library is one of the oldest libraries in German. There are over a thousand books in that library.

These cities are very special. They aren’t just dual cities on the barrier. They are famous for their culture.

The Dome of Culture is very famos for young people too… Here people preform their shows. Young people hold here their own parties…
