Slide 2:

This presentation is about a primary primate. The primary primate is an unusual profession.

Peter Elliott is a successfull actor. However, he doesn’t get a speaking part very often. He can walk like, he can behave like, he can even look like a chimpanzee. He’s a primary primate. Peter Elliott acted in more than fifty films in his life. Also he was one of the chimpanzees in ‘’Congo’’ film.

Slide 4:

“ I was like a little monkey when I was a kid. I climbed on trees, I made sounds like monkeys and when I grow up, I decided to be a chimpanzee actor” PETER ELLIOTT

Slide 5:

In 1994, he appeard in “Tarzan” movie, as Tarzan’s father. “Tarzan” was his first film.

Slide 6:

“I don’t act a chimpanzee in movies. I become a chimpanzee, I think like a chimpanzee, I make faces like a chimpanzee, I make sounds like a chimpanzee.

Slide 7:

Peter Elliott studied for many years how do gorillas behave, and how do they communicate with each other. When he realized that, it took him a lot of months to practise a gorilla’s nature.

Slide 8:

“People are thinking that animals are very weird, but it’s not the true. It’s vice. We are the beings which are wird! I have easier understood some chimpanzees, than certain people.”

Slide 9:

Dressing a chimpanzee’s costume require a bunch of time. Before putting fur on, first, you had to dress some protecting clothes to protect you from possible injures. The gorilla’s head mask is the most complicated and the heaviest part of the gorilla’s suit. 165 centimetres is a perfect high for gorilla-actor. Gorilla has very short legs, and it has very big top of the head.

Slide 11:

To construct and creat gorilla’s suit, you need more than six months and more than 1500 euros.

Slide 12:

“It’s easy to receive how do chimpanzees behave. In fact, they show to us their feelings. They show to us when they’re happy and when they’re mad with their faces. It’s not so hard to understand that and it doesn’t take much of the time to think about it.
