Slide 4.1 Outcomes : Outcomes Subject leaders/teachers should: be able to use the interactive planning tool confidently, effectively and independently understand how to construct effective medium-term plans be able to identify and plan for the development of functional skills in Key Stage 3. Slide 4.2 Slide 4: Slide 4.3 Grouping learning objectives : Grouping learning objectives Sample grouping of learning objectives on a unit focusing on refining and presenting information which is fit for purpose. Additional learning objectives to include: appropriate naming of files and folders, developing simple success criteria and using automated processes. Slide 4.4 Unit plans : Unit plans Slide 4.5 Process not content : Process not content ‘It is essential to think of learners becoming functional in their ICT, rather than thinking that there is a vital body of knowledge, known as functional ICT.’ Teaching and learning functional ICT p7 Slide 4.6 Progression : Progression Progression in functional ICT is delineated by increasing levels of demand in: complexity familiarity technical demand independence. Slide 4.7 Independence : Independence Learners would be expected to solve problems: that are essentially instructor/tutor led (Entry) that are essentially instructor/tutor guided, demonstrating the confidence to make informed choices and knowing when to seek guidance (Level 1) independently, demonstrating the capacity to complete activities effectively in order to overcome challenges and produce successful outcomes.
