Slide 3: The machine making the hoods is called a hemmer. It produces hoods by taking two sheets of steel and stamping them together. Slide 4: However, the hemmer’s belt is slipping. This puts the pieces that roll across the belt out of position, so that when they are stamped, it makes a bad hood. Slide 5: The factory now throws away many bad parts, and their assembly plant charges them for every bad hood they make! If this keeps up, we’ll be charged nearly $200,000 a year! Slide 6: Let’s call Team ID! They'll help us! Slide 7: Hi, I’m DistribuDude, and I’m from Team ID! I’m here to blast away your problems! Hmm… this belt looks odd. Have you tried to fix it already? Slide 8: The maintenance man gulps and slowly pulls out a bottle of powdered bleach. We’ll…we’ve been buying cases of this stuff to pour on the belt, but all it’s done is kept us busy and eaten up the belt! Slide 9: DistribuDude switches their pulley system from a smooth V-belt drive to one with teeth to grip the pulley. He also makes sure the new belt is made of slip-resistant urethane instead of slick rubber. That’ll never do! I’ve got something much better. Slide 10: Not with this! It’s a keyless locking device that can lock onto any shaft, even this one! But what about the shaft? The old pulley broke it, and it’ll take days to fix! Slide 11: You can always count on Team ID! Wow, thanks DistribuDude! Thanks to you, our maintenance problems have gone from constant to zero! Special Thanks To: : Special Thanks To: Team ID Saves The Day!!
