There are health effects that result in obesity: Heart disease Type 2 diabetes Asthma Sleep Apnea Social discrimination There are ways to prevent obesity which include: Healthy eating Lifestyle habits Physical activity Childhood obesity statistics : About 2/3 of U.S. adults are overweight, and 1/3 of them are obese. Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years. More and more money is being spent on weight-loss products and advertisements. Children are the most vulnerable age group to become obese because of television advertising, the way products are being sold, and quackery. Conclusions (continued) : Conclusions (continued) I do not believe Junior Slim is a valid weight loss product for children because there was not enough scientific data or proof behind how it works. Statements such as “Increasing metabolism, and energy” are not believable without valid explanations as to how the product works. All Stride is relevant towards weight loss in children if they follow the menu and guidelines precisely.
