Facility Improvements Completely renovated classrooms at the Elementary School, High School & Band Hall Includes: New floors, cabinets, ceilings, dry erase boards, and bulletin boards Includes: New teacher & 4 student use computers; Promethean Smartboards; LDC projectors; Intergraded sound systems; Document cameras; and Student response system New exterior paint Additional improvements at the Elementary School New windows & shades; HVAC systems and restrooms Gym: New paint in the gym & in Foyer; enclosed exterior windows; and HVAC repairs Stadium: New parameter fence; re-routed sideline fence (safety issue); and new concession stand Softball field: New competition facility which will allow home field advantage

Financial Accomplishments Sabinal ISD has the 8th lowest property tax rate in Texas at $0.885 compared to the State average of $1.221 (or $0.336 less) Sabinal ISD employees are one of the best paid staff in 1-A schools; we are near median for all classifications of schools in Texas Sabinal ISD was jointly awarded $965,000 in a competitive “Teach Tech Texas” grant Sabinal ISD received an additional $917,988 in Federal and State grants 8% student growth in two years No program or instructional budget cuts Sabinal ISD financial status was rated “Superior” by TEA in its financial accountability system; this is the highest financial rating a school district can receive
