Types of Health Care Systems Public: The government pays for some sorts of the health care expenses (e.g. physicians’ visits, vaccinations) but it does not cover all of the health care expenses; the rests (e.g. dental care, drugs) are covered by the private insurance companies. Any examples?

Private: The government pays only a small portion of the health care costs (e.g. some vaccinations and emergency cares) and the majority of that (e.g. physicians’ visits, dental expenses and drugs) is covered by the private insurance companies. Any examples?! Types of Health Care Systems

Types of Health Care Systems Public – Private: The government pays a portion of the health care costs in all forms of cares (e.g. 50% of all physicians’ visits, dental cares, drugs and all other cares) and the rests are covered by the insurance companies (e.g. the remaining 50% of the expenses.). Any examples?!

Why is the American Health Care System the 37th in the World?: 

Why is the American Health Care System the 37 th in the World? The government pays about $4500 per capita However, the largest portion of health care costs is paid out of people’s pockets All of Americans may use the health care system as long as they can afford the costs! The American emergency health care system is very limited to some simple care As long as you have money, you can get admitted in any hospitals with NO waiting list The salary of a physician is over $120,000 annually

Why the Canadian Health Care System is the 30th in the World?: 

Why the Canadian Health Care System is the 30 th in the World? The government pays less than $3000 per capita? The taxation rate in Canada is about 10% (depends on the province) It is ready and available for all of Canadians Canadian emergency health care is really fast but limited to some simple care Too long waiting lists There’s not any options when you are referred to see a doctor, you have to see him/her, not any body else! The salary of a physician is over $100,000 annually

Why the French Health Care System is the Best in the World?! The government pays 60% of all Medicare expenses The taxation rates are different depending on the income (very low income: no tax; average income: 5 to 15%) The health care is ready and available for all French people The French emergency health care is very fast and they can even do a surgery at home if needed; the emergency team includes a physician, a nurse, a technician, a care provider and in some cases, it may include an specialist No waiting list People have enough options for their health care The salary of a physician is between $50,000 and $100,000 (some of them work for free if they see a person indeed!)

The Life Expectancy’s Ranking of different countries in the World The United States’ position in this ranking is just above Cuba However, Cuba pays $186 per capita while the US pays $4500!
