Introduction to fasting :
Introduction to fasting Fasting is 3 pillar of Islam (obligatory).
Not to eat/drink/gratifying sexual desires from dawn to sunset.
Ramadan 9 month fasting whole month.
Saum means to abstain from something.
Method :
Method After eating before dawn the person has to make niyat without it there will be no fast.
“I intend to keep tomorrow's fast.”
He has to break fast after sunset.
“Oh ALLAH! I fasted for thou and believe in thou and I put my trust on thou and with sustenance thou hast given me, I now break my fast”

Fasting is forbidden On eids 12,13,11 Zil hajj .undesirable on Friday continously On every adult male and female fast is obligatory
revelations :
revelations “Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed before you so that you may restraint from against sin”
If a person does not abstain from telling lies or doing wrong when he is observing fast let it be known to him that Allah does not want him to stop taking his food.

If a fast is broke intentionally then the person will have to fast for 60 continues days. (periods will not be considered as a break)
Things to avoid :
Things to avoid Eating, drinking, smoking, injecting medicine. sexual relation fast broken by mistake,
Vomiting minor or forgetful eating will not break fast.
Voluntary fast :
Voluntary fast 6 days of shawal
1-9 zil hajj especially on arafah who are not on pilgrimage
9-10 muharram
15 sha’ ban
13,14,15 of every month
Fast on MondaY/FRIDay.
taraweeh :
taraweeh It is Sunnat mukkadah
after 4farz 2sunnat mukkadah of isha
20 rakats ½ surah sana
2nd listen to imam tawwuz tasmiyah surah fatiha
