ATM A machine outside a bank that you use to get money from your account [= cash point] when an electronic card is inserted A machine at a bank branch or other location which enables a customer to perform basic banking activities (checking one's balance withdrawing or transferring funds) even when the bank is closed On ATMs customer is identified by inserting a plastic ATM card with a magnetic strip that contains a unique card number and identity information.

ATM CARD They allow the cardholder to withdraw cash from an ATM machine after entering a PIN that is specific to the card. It is also known as bank card , client card , key card or cash card

ATM Devices CPU (to control the user interface and transaction devices) Magnetic card reader (to identify the customer) DISPLAY (used by user for transactions) Function key (used to select various aspects of transaction) RECORD PRINTER (to provide user the record of their transactions)

LIMITATION OF ATM : 

LIMITATION OF ATM daily cash withdrawal limits (have to go to counter to withdraw more than the limit) can't pay bills or cheques into the machine can't get coins or 5 pound notes risk of theft risk of machine not dispensing the correct amount risk of pin being overseen through your shoulder can't pay in cash

Future Scope : 

Future Scope In future the facilities that can be added to ATM machines are : Filling of bills. Daily news headline. Check matches score or sensex ups and downs.
