The Final Solution The final solution for the Jewish population was genocide. It was determined that no European Jew was to remain alive. When fighting in Russia, the Einstazgruppen (death squads of the SS-Elite military police) had orders to shoot all Jewish people. Gas chambers were installed in concentration camps in Poland to kill off the Jews who were in the ghettos. Cattle trains were used to transport Jews from other Nazi occupied areas to the Polish concentration camps.
