Slide 2:
Some of the media technologies used throughout the construction, research/planning and evaluation stages are: Blogspot, Serif PagePlus, PhotoPlus and WebPlus, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Slideshare, Wordle, Scribd, DSLR Camera, and Facebook. With media technology constantly changing, we are able develop new skills, and adopt these in the process of creating our own productions for the world to see. The blog is where I assemble my work, from the research and analysis to print screens showing the development of my products. The blog allows me to regularly post about every step of the development, and also allows me to easily access my previous research and plans which can help me when making the production.
Slide 3:
The software I used to construct my products was Serif PagePlus, WebPlus and Adobe Illustrator. I was already familiar with the software which was to my advantage as it was less time consuming. The programs had various tools, which allowed me to find and use these tools efficiently to create my product. Serif PagePlus catered to what I needed to help me create the newspaper, whereas WebPlus was a software specifically to make webpages. WebPlus enabled me to add navigation bars, hyperlinks and other website conventions without the knowledge of HTML.
Slide 4:
Adobe Illustrator allowed me to create an illustration for my poster without having the need of a pen and paper.
Slide 5:
During my research stage of my work I had to look at and analyse other real media products, such as local newspapers and their websites. To do this I created presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. This was very useful as I was able to quickly create slides, and insert images and text. This also helped me use the visual aspect of my analysis to help explain to the reader what I’m talking about. Also the use of Microsoft Word has been staple throughout my work, from my research and planning to my evaluation.
Slide 6:
Scribd, Slideshare and authorSTREAM are programmes that are found on the internet, and have allowed me to upload my presentations and documents, and embed them onto my blog.
Slide 7:
Wordle is also another programme on the internet which I have used within my audience feedback, which picks up the words most used within my audience feedback comments, which allows the viewer to see what are the main analysis of the feedback.
Slide 8:
The use of the social networking site Facebook I was able to upload my work on to the site and allow friends to comment on my products.
