LEARNINGSTYLES : LEARNINGSTYLES 2 תרגיל 2 : תרגיל 2 WHAT IS LEARING STYLES? : WHAT IS LEARING STYLES? Learning styles are the way in which each individual learner begins to concentrate on, process, absorb, and retain new and difficult information. Learning styles, thus, are the most important tool for us when we construct knowledge. Most people haven’t got the faintest idea about their learning styles profile, and people are often somewhat embarrassed about the way they actually act when studying: They don’t find it in keeping with “good student behavior”. The right way of studying, however, does not exist. Everybody learns in his individual way, but without knowing this way, i.e. without knowing your preferences, you can’t learn efficiently – sometimes you can’t learn at all. ACTIVE AND REFLECTIVE LEARNERS : ACTIVE AND REFLECTIVE LEARNERS Active learners tend to retain and understand information best by doing something active with. "Let's try it out and see how it works“. Tend to like group work Reflective learners prefer to think about it quietly first. "Let's think it through first”. Prefer working alone. SENSING AND INTUITIVE LEARNERS : SENSING AND INTUITIVE LEARNERS Sensing learners tend to like learning facts, and like solving problems by well-established methods (dislike complications and surprises) Intuitive learners often prefer discovering possibilities and relationships, like innovation and dislike repetition SEQUENTIAL AND GLOBAL LEARNERS : SEQUENTIAL AND GLOBAL LEARNERS Sequential learners tend to gain understanding in linear steps, with each step following logically from the previous one, and tend to follow logical stepwise paths in finding solutions Global learners tend to learn in large jumps, absorbing material almost randomly without seeing connections, They may be able to solve complex problems quickly or put things together in novel ways once they have grasped the big picture, but they may have difficulty explaining how they did it. VISUAL AND VERBAL LEARNERS : VISUAL AND VERBAL LEARNERS Visual learners remember best what they see--pictures, diagrams, flow charts, time lines, films, and demonstrations. Verbal learners get more out of words--written and spoken explanations. Everyone learns more when information is presented both visually and verbally. מהספרות : מהספרות Bitran M.
