Jot down the main 4/5 main points and quotes. Read through your notes and make brief revision notes on postcards for each key character and theme

How do I revise? Look at websites eg: Sparknotes, Universal teacher, Sam learning, BBC Bitesize etc Look at notes & resources in Student Shared Pick out 10 key quotes and memorise the page numbers so that you can find them quickly Re-read chapter one (at least)

What is the significance of the title? : 

What is the significance of the title? Refers to Robert Burns’ s poem: Extract means: the best laid plans of mice and men often go wrong and leave us nothing but grief - which is indeed what happens to George and Lennie’s plan Mice and small things are therefore easily overwhelmed – seems to suggest that man too is vulnerable to the greater forces around us (fate and destiny and hardship of depression) Also a link to the animal imagery and motif in the novel Nevertheless our dreams give us hope and friendship and we need to strive for this
