Slide 1:

The ids Haven

Slide 3:

The House of Resurrection Haven offers a home-like environment for little ones from three days to twelve years old. We care for the children’s health and developmental needs plus basic needs. We cater for children who are symptomatic with HIV/AIDS and have been orphaned or abandoned by their families.

Slide 4:

We are a non-profit organization that exists solely on the donations we receive from companies, churches, fund-raising groups and private individuals.

Slide 5:

The cost for caring for one of our children amounts to roughly R120.00 per day. That’s an annual cost of R43 800.00. This includes their food, medication, clothing and general care. Some of them have also started going to school and need uniforms and stationery. The cost of that is not included in the above estimate.

Slide 6:

There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only few will catch your heart… pursue those. Michael Nolan

Slide 7:

Please allow us to introduce our children.

Slide 8:

This is Andile and he gives the best hugs of all the children at The Haven. At six years old you can tell that he is a very deep thinker. He has a twin sister who is also with us and they are very close and he does allow her to have her way ‘cause that’s what brothers do… especially twin brothers:) SPONSORED:)

Slide 9:

And here is Zandile… sister to Andile. She loooves to ask questions and help out as much as she can. She will make a very good carer herself and knows just how to wriggle her way into people’s hearts with her pleasant smile. SPONSORED:)

Slide 10:

Meet Adrian. The Haven’s little heart breaker! A bright young boy who knows just how to steal your heart with his smile and infectious laugh. He’s shy at first but as soon as he’s used to you (which doesn’t take long) he’ll have you wrapped around his little finger.

Slide 11:

This is Bongi. She’s the little lady:) She has recently ‘graduated’ to the children’s wing. She’s who you refer to when you talk about ‘tough but pretty.’ She often suffers from opportunistic infections but she always manages to pull through… a real little fighter.

Slide 12:

Meet Akhona. He’s such a little angel…:) Very well behaved and aware of his surroundings. A sharp, quiet young gentleman. He’s in Grade 1 and can write his own name. You’ll spot him in the background quietly going about his business and will find he’s such a delight if you’ll just take a moment to chat to him.

Slide 13:

Say hello to Sizwe. As his name implies, he is quite strong. You’ll see on this photo that he loves to smile. He also enjoys passing out hugs to the ones he loves. Although he’s only four you can tell that he has a lovely sense of humour.

Slide 14:

This is Joseph. He’s very quiet but makes his presence felt. He’s our gentle giant. He looks so big and strong but needs a hand to hold when we have clowns or other dressed up characters… shame man! He’s such a sweetie:) SPONSORED:)

Slide 15:

My name is Leroy I am very small and everyone thinks I am under 3 years but I am five years old. I am the big little man of the children’s wing. Bye from little Leroy
