THE BATTLE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE CREATORS :

THE BATTLE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE CREATORS Silicon Valley war is waging on.

Slide 2:

It was during Facebook CEO’s interview with Charlie Rose when Zuckerberg labeled Google+, Google’s social networking site as Facebook’s mini –me. Such words expectedly reached the ears of Google+ chief and it seems that they are taken aback with Zuckerberg’s bold statement considering that Google+ was specifically created for testing purposes.

Slide 3:

True enough, Google+ came out overrated. In fact other concluded that Facebook days are numbered. But with Zuckerberg’s ingenuity, Facebook reign supreme and remain undefeated. Could it be the Google+ website features that contributed to its demise? I might as well need the Utah web design and Utah graphic design opinions and ideas before conjuring some conclusions.

Slide 4:

Bradley Horowitz, Google+ VP of product retorted Zuckerberg’s bold comment and to pick up their lambasted reputation, he warned Zuckerberg that he is underestimating Google. Horowitz said during an interview by Bloomberg that they are delighted to be underestimated and harbor no ill-feelings with the Facebook CEO, but Google will not explain everything to anybody.

Slide 5:

Google+ and even its mother company Google had been criticized by their privacy violations. Yet Horowitz defended the company by saying that Google knows very little about their users and so with Google+. Earlier MarckZuckerberg said to an interview that it is Google, Yahoo and Microsoft who collects their user’s data without their knowledge and this poses greater threat to user’s privacy. This is his response on the allegations that Facebook should be sued for privacy violations as well. Zuckercberg even boasted that with Facebook’s professional web design, it only shows information users had agreed to make it known publicly.

Slide 6:

Horowitz further stated that Google+ does not store data from their users and Google+ is designed to reinvent the mode of interaction and not to get information from its subscribers. They value their users so much and in return Google make their services better.

Slide 7:

Google described Google+ as private-focused social networking site that will cater individuals who want a more private web profile compared to Facebook. When the Google+ chief was asked how many subscribers do Google+ have at the moment, Horowitz choose not to answer the question but stressed that it grown significantly from the 40 million users Google+ had before.

Slide 8:

With Facebook’s 800 active users and Google+’s 40 million, i can easily conclude that people does not matter about privacy at all.
