What is Personality? : 

It’s the characteristics of a person that makes them unique and different. What is Personality?

Components : 

Extraverts: loves being around other people. Introverts: likes to be alone more than with other people. Type A: hard-driving Type B: leisurely Perceivers: intuitive Judgers: analytical Components

Behavioral Theory : 

Behaviorists: B.F. Skinner Albert Bandura Believed to be a result of interacting with the society around a person. Behavioral Theory

Psychodynamic Theory : 

Psychologists: Sigmund Freud Erik Erikson Freud: Psychosexual Stage Theory Believed that the id, the superego, and the ego were the components of personality. Erikson: Stages of Psychosocial Development Believed that in every stage a person would confront a conflict and if they passed the stage, they overcame the conflict. Psychodynamic Theory

Humanistic Theory : 

Humanists: Carl Rogers Abraham Maslow Believed that they need to do what makes them happy and not to care about what others thought. Humanistic Theory

Take a personality Test! Log onto www.missingmanuals .com to take one. Answer the questions and at the end tally up everything and then look at the chart and read the description. How to find out your type?

Why take the test? : 

To find out if you were right about what you believed. To improve your learning. To see whether you’re an introvert or an extravert. Just for fun! Why take the test?

Conscientiousness: Focused Good: Organized, efficient, reliable, precise, and driven. Bad: Inflexible, compulsive, workaholic, and stuffy. Neuroticism: Reactive Good: Emotionally aware, empathetic, and expressive. Bad: Anxious, moody, unstable, neurotic, and restless. Openness: Creative Good: Imaginative, artistic, curious, and liberal. Summary! : 

As you can tell people can be friends with anyone even if one is an extravert and the other is an introvert. Personality is who a person is not what they are. You should never judge a person from one thing they do, get to know them and most likely you will like them. Summary!
